Tardigrades (or 'waterbears') are one of my favourite animals, as though they are so common, they have an amazing ability to shut down their metabolism and go into a state in which they can survive pretty much anything you throw at them - radiation, heat, cold, pressure (they've even been left in the vacuum of space for 10 days and survived perfectly!!).I bought this waterbear toy for my best friend for Christmas (after trawling through the giant microbes website trying to choose one) and she absolutely LOVED it. A great present for any Biology geek, it's cute, fluffy, a very fetching shade of blue (not entirely scientifically accurate, but that's not the point!), and a reminder of the awesomeness of this microscopic animal.Delivery was prompt and I had no problems whatsoever, Very pleased with this purchase.

Lovely!
This was bought as a gift and is a lovely toy. The material is a fuzzy bright blue, like what you might find on a teddy bear, and seems to be high quality. The stitching on the toy is good and seems strong, and the info card is a nice addition. Item shipped quickly and was perfect for what I wanted!

Christmas Gift
Just had to get this for my friend! She us absolutely loves tardigrades (water bears) and it was the perfect christmas gift! Pretty small but extremely cute and the price is quite good.

Good for geeks
Probably a niche product, but as my son is science mad he loves it. The fabric is of decent quality and the little label has some useful info. A quirky product for geeks - my son wants a room full of these now.

Great present for my nurse friend
I've been challenged to buy the most unusual soft toy for my friend so bought her this and the Giant Microbes Flesh Eating Streptococcus pyogenes for a birthday present. I can't wait to see her face when she opens them especially as she was a nurse for many years.
