Great product, software and support
I actually purchased the Yolink leak detectors and water shut off valve about a year ago in a set from Amazon. Because of a recent leak, I pulled them out of the box to install them.I did the leak detectors first. It was easy to get the detectors onto the Wi-Fi and get them configured.I immediately tested the detectors by placing some water on the kitchen counter, and then putting the detector into the water. I was extremely pleased how quickly the detector reacted, and how quickly I received a notification of the leak. However, I could not figure out how to get the detectors to send me a text message when they detected a leak.I went through the online manual, and the online suggestions, and the FAQs, but I was still not able to figure it out. Unfortunately, my 13-year-old grandkids were not available to perform tech-support (g) for me. So I saw an email address and telephone number in the manual and sent off an email explaining my problem to Yolink.Immediately, I received a response that my email had been received. I continued to work on setting up my leak detectors and while testing them, i found that it was easy to link them to Alexa so that Alexa could control them and give me notifications that a leak detector had gone off and have the notification pop up on my iPhone; but, I could not get it to send me an email. So, fortunately, the email that I received from Yolink said that if I had any other issues or questions I could respond back to that email. So I did. I asked if they could also help me to set up the email notification.Shortly thereafter, I received an email reply from Yolink with detailed instructions explaining to me how I could set up both. I found the instructions to be very clear and helpful. I tested them out and received both a text message and an email notification from my test.I then went to set up the Yolink Automatic shut off valve. I had no problem adding it into the Yolink app, activating it, and getting it recognized by Alexa as well.I found the online manual, the online help, and the FAQs did not cover the issues I needed to a point that I could understand. And based on that, and the equipment, and the software and configuration with Alexa, I would have given Yolink a four star review. But because of the fantastic and fast customer support I received I would now give them a five star review.

Up and running in minutes - - initial issue w/ cell connect - - customer support is awesome
* * * * * Update:My previous review was a 4 star review that has wholeheartedly been upped to 5 stars. This is not only because of the product itself, but because of the amazing customer service and support I've received from YoLink. Read the review below that notes the one and only issue I had was with setting up cell number connection. I emailed them to ask for help.Within a day I received a reply from YoLink noting this is a known issue and they are working on a fix.In another 2 days, I received another email letting me know the issue had been fixed.I tried it, and it worked! Not only are they super responsive, they also impressed me with the fact that they actually followed through and contacted me to let me know that my issue had been resolved.-------------------------Initial review:I just received this today and had it 98% up and running in less than 15 minutes. The 2% part that isn't working is because I cannot get it to take my cell number.Very frustrating because receiving text alerts is what makes this stand out from all the many other leak sensors out there.Set up for all other aspects of this was amazingly fast and easy. Connections were made quickly and app and email notifications during leak tests were amazingly almost instantaneous.I just cannot get it to send me a confirmation code that's a necessary step in adding a cell number for text alerts.I "invited" my husband to join the household so he would receive notifications too. He opened his own account, accepted my invitation an was set up in less than a few minutes. All went smoothly for him except that he was not able to add his cell number for text notifications either. The step for this process requires you entering your cell in the settings portion of the app, then waiting to receive a text with a confirmation code. That code never comes. We tried resetting the hub, resetting our phones, texting each other just to be sure there wasn't some glitch with our ability to receive texts. After all this neither of us receives the code and therefore, we only receive notifications via email and app. It's a holiday weekend, so there is no support available from the company. I've emailed them and will try calling when they're open.

Know when you've got water issues!
These water leak sensors came in handy recently and saved us from a lot of possible water damage. The range seems great on these as one was near our hot water heater at the other side of the house and through lots of walls. This had a loud alarm that I could hear inside the house, but it also sent an alert to my phone. They seem fairly sensitive since it seems to have gone off soon after the leak started. They are a good size that fit in the pan under the heater to be able to sense the leak before the pan was full. Love how these function with my YoLink kits and smart home hub. These are built well to be able to detect water below and above the sensor. Hopefully we won't need to detect a leak again anytime soon, but the long battery life will allow me to sleep well knowing if there is a leak these will alert me quickly.
