Perfect tool kit for cars
As a longtime car enthusiast with a garage full of scattered tools from years of projects, this Craftsman kit is exactly what I needed. I didn’t want to pull apart my main toolbox every time I hit the road, and this set is perfect to toss in the trunk of any classic car for peace of mind. It has everything I would need for American, Euro and Japanese cars.It covers pretty much everything you’d need for roadside repairs, with just enough extra space to add your own essentials like electrical tape or vice grips. The tools themselves feel solid, well-made, and comfortable in hand. A great value and a smart addition to any car lover’s collection as either a starting point or a well-organized kit to keep in the trunk.

Great quality, durability, and quality and warranty!!!
Craftsman tools are the best!!! I already have a ratchet and socket set that has lasted me over 30 years. One of my ratchets “broke” several years ago and they fixed it for me.So when this tool set went on sale, I snatched it up as a gift for my youngest son.I have gifted my two older kids Craftsman tool kits and they really lasted. Now all of my kids have a set that of their own. This kit is pretty much all you need for most tasks. From auto repair to furniture assembly and other dyi projects. My son was really excited to receive this set, and I am thrilled about the quality of tools he will be using. The price is very reasonable for the quality of tools that this set has includes.

Great value
I didn't know what all the differences are but I ordered the 230 piece one for $99. I am really happy with the value of this. I haven't used them yet but they appear to be good quality. I'm a truck driver and want something for my rig. These won't be used that often so I wasn't looking for SnapOn quality. The drawers they come in are very cool, as long as your not a mechanic using them all the time. The drawers lock with the gray switch on top, so that's cool. They won't be rattling open coming down the road. It took me a moment to figure something out though. If you slide a drawer open, some of the tools are back under the next upper drawer and you can't get them out. But there is a push tab on each drawer on both sides. Push those down with your thumbs and then the whole drawer slides out. A great design for what I'm after. Super pleased. Especially since everything has is place and the spots are marked for the ratchet sizes so you can easily find what your after.

Incredible price for authentic Craftsman
Incredible price for authentic Craftsman tool set. Case feels durable and drawers sturdy, yet feel easy to use. Small compact size that doesn't weigh too much. Craftsman tools just have that great feel.

Perfect Weekend Warrior Mechanic Set
With an upcoming hub/bearing assembly swap on 3 of the 4 wheels and new brakes on all four, I needed a new ratchet as my 28-year-old Craftsman 3/8" ratchet suffered a couple of rounded off teeth after years of use and abuse. Shopping around just for a ratchet, and wanting to also buy a 1/2" ratchet, the prices pushed me to start looking at larger/bundled kits. While I didn't really need all of the sockets and wrenches included in this kit, I couldn't beat the price, especially with the price reduction on this kit, which by the way is still full price at Lowes. I couldn't be happier with this kit, and it should well-serve any weekend warrior mechanic for years to come, as long as you don't abuse the tools. I added some adapters to the kit to allow use of the 1/2" drive with some of the 3/8" sockets, as the length of the 1/2" drive provides a little more leverage, finding that sweet spot when the 3/8" drive isn't enough and my 18" breaker bar is too much/doesn't fit in the tight spot. The plastic case, with the removeable trays/drawers keeps everything neat and tidy, easily identifying when something is missing. With my aging eyes, it was tough to see the raised numbering to identify the socket size, but this is easily addressed by coloring the raised numbering with a black Sharpie to make them contrast against the rest of the red tray. It was nice how the trays can be removed and stacked on top of the case for easy access. As mentioned above, I added adapters, but I also added a 6" 3/8" drive extension as the included extensions were too short to access the mounting bolts for the brake calipers and hub/bearing assemblies on my vehicle. The layout of the trays/drawers leaves plenty of space for these additions and probably a bit more. This kit paired with the Craftsman 1/2" impact driver, and the added adapters and extension, I was able to tackle the job easily and save myself a ton of money instead of paying the dealership or some other garage to do this. The only thing needed for the job that wasn't in this kit was a 32mm socket to remove the axel nuts, thankfully I was able to borrow one from a friend. Overall, this is a great kit and I highly recommend it, especially if it is $90 below regular price.

Good toolbox with VersaStack connections
This is a pretty good toolset that can connect with other VersaStack tool boxes. The set includes 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" sockets within 3 separate drawers. The craftsman name has been around a long time but unfortunately the quality of these are not the same as when made in the USA. However, for the price you are getting a pretty good set of tools for homeowner or hobbyist. One nice feature is the slim lined ratchets that feel nice in your hand. I did have a performance issue with my 1/4" ratchet but it performed better after using a few times. Although Craftsman tools have decreased in quality, these still have a very durable feel and look great in the box. My only complaint is that the drawers do not have rails so they don't easily pull in and out like the VersaStack 2 drawer set and you cannot reach the back tools without completely pulling out the drawer. I purchased this set because of the variety as well as the VersaStack feature so I'm satisfied with the purchase. Only time will tell if these hold up to the Craftsman brand.
