DysonSoft Roller Cleaner Head V7 Models (for V7 Models)

The media could not be loaded. I am finally moving from Shark vacuums to a Dyson and am awaiting a copper V11 Torque coming later this week. (Absolute model not currently available in the US which would have both cleaner heads together). I have mostly linoleum, tile, and vinyl/wood and my biggest complaint with any vacuum especially my newest shark is the scatter of stuff on hard floors. (I have a borzoi puppy so hair, mud, leaves and tiny chunks/pieces of pig snout, bully sticks, and yak sticks are all over the place all the time). So I really wanted this cleaner head.After watching reviews I decided to purchase this in advance. It appears the only difference between this V7 model and later models is the rear bumper added later. The price difference between this V7 model and V11 models is $50-$60 dollars currently.The soft roller can be removed for washing/cleaning. Using a coin you turn the little grey dial on the right upper side of the underside counterclockwise about a quarter turn. Mine would not then come off, I had to pry it and felt like I was breaking it. It did not get easier with repeated attempts. I have strong short nails and broke 2 trying this. Eventually I used a paint can lid tool to pry it loose and then swing it forward so I could access the roller.Other than that, this came well packed in genuine Dyson packaging and label/coding. It appears new with no wear and not a scratch. The maneuverability seems excellent and it connects to the wand with the typical strong snap/click (not a pressure connection).I will update this review after vacuum arrives and I've tested it.2/8/20:My V11 Torque arrived and after the exhausting unboxing (creating heaps of cardboard to flatten!) I got to test everything out. This did indeed snap on and work beautifully. All of the modes/settings worked with it. It did spectacularly on vinyl/linoleum/hardwood. NO SCATTER! It picked up everything first pass, picked up stuff along edges and stuck against moldings. Worked much better on hard surfaces than the V11 torque power head that came with the new vacuum (that skittered some larger debris on Eco and Medium and Auto settings.)Very satisfied!

I use my Dyson V7 - A LOT, probably 3-4 times a day on our 2,500 sqft first floor - all hard wood. The original brush head has been tremendously hard on our floors and I decided to order the new V8 from Dyson because it's on sale and it has the hardwood floor attachment head. Since my V7 still has a perfect battery, I thought I'd see if this attachment would suffice and that perhaps I wouldn't need the new V8. I just pulled it out of the box, attached and it picked up EVERYTHING, better than the other head (hair, rice kernals, wood chips pieces from the firewood, GLITTER from the christmas tree that the other one continued to miss). It picks up small bits from the corners of kitchen cabinets that I used to have to dig out because the other head just pushed it in further. I am SSOOOOOO happy I don't have to get a new vacuum!!! This piece is legit and works perfect!!!!!

This was an exact replacement for my original attachment. It arrived quickly and worked exactly perfectly.

This is amazing! I have a V8 animal and it fits perfectly for it. Not sure why the description says V7 only. This head is so smooth gliding and easy to maneuver! I used it on carpet and hardwood floors. I am not sure if it's supposed to be used on carpet, but it seems fine. I even have a Ruggable type rug and it works great on that, it doesn't pull it up or stick too tightly to the rug like some vacuums do. It's not noisy at all and is actually so much quieter than the original Dyson roller head. Do yourself a favor and get this, don't cheap out on the generic ones. This is worth it. Plus for authentic Dyson it's more than $30 cheaper in this listing compared to another OEM Dyson I found on Amazon.

I wasn't happy about spending $100 for another attachment but it is soooo much better on our wood floors. The carpet roller that came with the vacuum kept leaving marks. With this roller it's smooth sailing. Picks up everything with ease and even works in a pinch on my throw rugs by the doors. I took a star away though due to the price. Shame on you Dyson for not including it with the vacuum and then charging such a high price for an attachment that we clearly need. As if your vacuums aren't already expensive enough!

This was a replacement for the first one that broke after about 2 years.The replacement is everything I expected it to be. I love the all felt roller.It picks up and cleans nicely!

I had been using the head that came with my dyson 7 for about 2 years and it never picked up big pieces like Cheerios and started to scratch my hardwood floors. I know everyone raves about dysons, so I knew I had to be missing something. This head was it!It is amazing! It can pick up large pieces like Cheerios and dog food while also picking up dust and dog hair. This was worth every penny!

Loved our Dyson but would not pick up dog food or bigger stuff just push it, this head has been great and straight up eats stuff on the floor very nice easy to clean should have come with the vacuum originally. Everyone has hard floors now this is what you need.
