ThunderEase Works But Be Prepared To Give It Time...
ThunderEase calming aids work wonders for helping our dog feel safe. We always know when her T-collar is nearing the end of its potency because she is noticeably less confident towards the end of the collar's life. We want her to feel safe so we'll keep buying them but they are expensive and they do not always last the entire 4 weeks. I'm guessing the collar's life is affected by the number of or intensity of situational anxiety triggers which affect her body's stress responses and increase her body temperature. More stress means a shorter collar life because body temperature is what activates the pheromone release from the collar. We are noticing that she's developing coping mechanisms over time but it does take time and we've probably spent just over $250.00 on T-collars in the past year. We don't use the spray unless we're close to the end of the collar's life and such use has become less frequent. We don't use the diffusers any more as she gets more continuous support with the T-collar. Anxiety disorder is a thing for dogs and our girl has come a long way in the past year since we started using the T-collars. We've used the diffuser system, too, but it sprayed onto the walls above the diffuser. The spray works well but only lasts about 4 hours and comes in a very small bottle. It is also expensive. We saw a better value using the T-collars. The spray is best for intermittent stress like short stranger visits inside the house.

Didn't Make Even a Small Difference
Product doesn't work for our Auggie. We bought for separation anxiety/anxiety in general. He is still excessively barking especially through the night and peeing in his cage after using the diffuser and collar."Trust the Dog Calming Experts at ThunderWorks with our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee if you are not completely satisfied, return to your place of purchase within 60 days for a refund of your purchase price." Amazon will not refund you but does advertise the ThunderWorks satisfaction guarantee.

Amazingly helpful, my go-to for anxious/sensitive dogs!
I regularly use the Thunderease/adaptil pheromone collars for my dogs, and have for 7 or 8 years now. They are a huge help for us and can be a big help for many types of anxiety and fearfulness! They also make a travel spray (I didn’t use much or in enough situations to compare and evaluate effects) and a plug-in diffuser for the home (I sometimes use that and it works well too, but takes longer to build up/have an effect, and of course you can’t leave windows open so I tend to use that more in summer/winter and occasionally in a smaller area where my separation anxiety-prone foster stays when I leave).I find the collar works best, and the effects kick in the fastest/within a day or two days. It is body-heat activated and a releases pheromones that mimic those released by canine mothers while nursing, and for many dogs it can help provide some level of overall calm. It makes a HUGE difference for my two especially (not quite as much for my foster) - can see less stress in them the day after I put it on.Each collar lasts about 30 days and I do notice as when it wears off - more anxiety/anxious behaviors again, plus they are more stressed and get a bit crankier with each other. I wonder why… and then check the timing of when I put the last new collar on - and that’s how I realize how much it’s helping!!Having three sensitive dogs I am well-versed in canine body language, and this is my go-to calming tool because it is so helpful. It may not help with everything, and doesn’t “solve” trauma and emotional needs not getting met - positive behavior work and understanding/respecting/supporting your dog’s body language, needs, and unique preferences is of course important, especially for deeper change. But this collar/pheromones takes the edge off so that they are not so sensitive and responsive to stressful triggers!Currently I’m using on just one of my dogs and it helps her feel more confident and secure. If we have a stressful event coming up though, I get collars for two or all three dogs. Some dogs don’t get much of an effect apparently, based on reviews years ago it either worked great or owners didn’t notice much effect. I've personally seen amazing results for mine and a few others so it’s definitely worth a try!(FYI I have also tried a couple other cheaper brands, but they don’t seem to work much/as well as the Thunderease one. Plus some other brands have very strong scents, which for a dog’s strong sense of smell might be highly uncomfortable, especially in a new and potentially stressful situation!)

Could be Great!
The collar itself is great. I didn't have any issues with size or adjusting it, but I'm not sure how effective this is. Mind you, I have a dog with pretty severe separation anxiety, and this was recommended to me by her vet before trying medication (after trying dozens of other things), so it might just be a "me issue", lol. If you have a dog who has mild anxiety, this might be great for you!! Regardless, I think you should always consult your vet on what they think is best, but this is a good, cost-friendly option.

Collar that works
Storms really cause anxiety in our one dog. I put this hard plastic collar on right after she scaled my head for safety. It was easy to put on. She's 45# and I got a large but had to cut a few inches off. Should try smaller. She's overall calmer everyday. Less barking out the window. Less jumpy. They're good for 4 weeks. We have 3-4 days of storms soon so I'll see how it goes. I also have thundershirt and the plugins but haven't tried the plugins yet.

Seperation anxiety WHO.......
Bought these to help with anxiety of my dogs being boarded for the first time. And they still had them on going through July 4th weekend in south Louisiana where it's a extendedexcuse for fireworks for days on end! Let's start with the boarding, we were told they did absolutely amazing for first time boarders, seperation anxiety was at a minimum. Coming into the holiday weekend we were amazed at how laid back and stress free going through fireworks were. These collars are easy to use and fit to each of our dogs. They have been wearing them with their regular collars for almost three weeks and have held up very well.

Didn’t work
Does not work at all on my Sheltie. May be his personality and genetics but no calming effect.
