The media could not be loaded. 4 stars because I feel like I need to put my entire weight on this thing to properly cut through the bread! Hopefully I get more used to using it, it's slightly more work than I hoped. I'd say I wish the cutter was sharper, but it makes sense you're still supposed to squish it so much, to properly crimp the bread.I've made 4 sandwiches so far since I picked it up the other day. I want to bulk make uncrustables to keep in the freezer so I don't have to buy them at the store, but it's such a handy and real-food snack. I don't often buy silly kitchen gadgets but I allowed myself this one.I'm using 9-grain bread in these pics. Works just fine. It does catch some of the crust as you can see. Fine with me. I eat the leftover crust by dipping in milk :)Also, the video is me experimenting with using the heels of the loaf lol. Why not! It handled that fine.The resulting sandwich fits into a shallow round 1-cup takeout container, and I toss that in the freezer to save $ on ziplocs.

I think this is the cutest little sandwich maker ( uncrustable). I've used it with cheap white bread, Walmart and wegmans white sandwich bread and they are the perfect size, there is barely any waste besides the crust. Because of the open ends, you can stuff the sandwich a little more, not a whole lot but some. I was using a different kind and I was breaking the sandwich open every time trying to get the sandwich out of the maker. This one is so easy to use and seals it tightly shut. And it's easy to take apart and wash.

1. Why does it need ears. I don't care about ears at 7am.2. Why is the filling cutter so much smaller than the sandwich area.3. In the future design can the two of these clip together please? I am going to lose this in the infinate drawers of kitchen tools.4. Overall works very well. Kids love that they can help and man is this so much cheaper than buying the name brand you know what's.

This is such an amazing tool for the kitchen. It is very easy to use & clean. I like the larger size over the circle styles so there is less waste & more filling in the sandwiches. I would highly recommend this product.

It does a good job, but it might be nicer if the metal cutter was attached instead of a separate piece.
