First, no priming or pumping needed; just screw in the filters. I used these to replace my Berkey filters. For a while, I was buying lower cost replacement filters for my Berkey when you could not longer find Berkey filters. All I can tell you is with these filters, the amount of filtration of chlorine was phenomenal. When I opened the lid to my Berkey water filter, a very strong and pungent odor of chlorine is always there. That is the chlorine being filtered out in the top container. Even my original Berkey filters did not filter chlorine like this.The water tastes good. I wish I had known about these filters sooner. Worth the added cost by far.

This is my 2nd time ordering. Filters fit perfectly in my Travel Berkey. They require no priming and filtered water tastes great. They did a great job of removing chlorine from tap water which I was very happy about.

These work absolutely fine. So much better than the black filters. People have complained in the other reviews that they don't work well with attaching other filters underneath. You're not supposed to do that. If you look at the website, these are to act alone, you're not to attach the other ones to it. These filter out the heavy metals. You don't need extra filters to do that. There are cheaper versions on Amazon, but they appear to be made in China, so I would not trust their ability to filter out stuff. These are made in Britain. These were thoroughly tested. I talked to a representative. And you can remove these once a month or so if they stop filtering all the way down to the bottom. You can use a clean sponge and wash them off with water to get rid of the lime scale and this will extend the life.

Bought my berkey during covid and this is my third ceramic filter refill so about every 18 months at a gallon a day or so. Fast shipping and as described original product and boxing. Easy to install just unscrew old take out and screw in new one comes w fresh rubber washer that goes inside to replace prevent leakage. Takes a minute for gravity fed water to start dripping but working like a charm. I have the 1.5 gallon stainless steel Berkey and thoroughly enjoy it about 18” high and lightweight for travel. My sons family has the 2.5 Big Berkey at his house and he uses the carbon filters. Highly recommend this water system worth the money. 💰

My husband & I have had the Big Berkey system for over a decade. We've always used the black charcoal filters and while we had no issues for years, lately, perhaps because we're now a family of 4, they kept failing. I had grown beyond tired of constantly scrubbing the filters & repriming only to have them only filter down about 25% of the way, so I was very hopeful when I stumbled upon these compatible filters. The first 2 passes were extremely slow, as expected, but after that, they filter at lightning speed compared to my old Berkey filters. I can't confirm the filtering quality specifically since I haven't had it tested, but the water tastes great and I trust the certifications behind it. I wish we'd found these years ago so we could have avoided drinking bottled water while waiting for our old filters to think about working.

These are great filters! I’m using them in my 1.5 travel Berkey and they fit perfectly. I let 3 full passes if water go through them before drinking jyst to be safe. The first 2 passes were super slow as expected. Now the water filters at a decent rate. I’m very pleased! Water tastes crisp and I’m assured knowing all the crap has been filtered out. A+

fitting fit fine in Berkey can, Filters bolt that goes thru the can does NOT fit the Berkey floride (white bottom) filters so they are not compatible with the white bottom filters from berkey

I've been searching for excellent filters for my Berkey gravity water filter, and I'm thrilled to say I've finally found them! These filters perform just as well, if not better, than the originals.
