The Screwtape Letters Paperback – October 21, 2024

Good value. Those who know, know. Some people complained that this edition is too big. That is the reason I bought it for it allows me to write in the margins my notes. This books is not merely a book to read but one to study.

The Screwtape Letters are amazing. Told from a demons perspective, it really gives wisdom related to how spiritual attacks are levied against us, keeping apart from God.While it is a work of fiction, they really helped to enlighten me on the tricks the enemy often employs to turn us from God in matters of trust, chastity, faith and elsewhere.Highly recommend!

I really liked the book but it was a little difficult to understand because of the “old english”. I am a true catholic and this book really helped me understand the other side of the coin and how fragile faith can be. This book served me as an opportunity to meditate on my faith and how I can come closer to God and understand hoy much my thoughts and actions are being manipulated by the devil. This book definitely will bring you closer to God and be more aware of your actions and thoughts.

It was interesting to experience the life of a believer through the eyes of demons. It took me a little while to get passed them referring to the Lord as the enemy, and I am not sure that I have really gotten pass that. There were times I did not understand what was being said. I think that was due to the way CS Lewis spoke. I would recommend this book to a more mature believer

Lewis’ Screwtape Letters never disappoints! A masterful telling and engaging read! If your haven’t read it, your really do need to read it!

I don’t know who actually published this book, as none of that information is actually printed anywhere in the book, but it is so filled with typos that it’s almost unreadable. Not sure if someone had the original book by CS Lewis and just retyped it on Word, formatted it for Amazon, and published it. Pretty shady. I will be returning immediately and buying an authorized version.
