Sturdy build... good foam... great durable cover material. Perfect for PT after surgery.
Great mat for the money... sturdy foam, tough exterior covers. Nothing not to like.I bought it after a recent surgery to help with the PT (I got some rods/screws in my low back, so lying on the floor to stretch my hamstrings was killing me - the hardware was pressing against my skin from the inside - we have hardwood floors). So, I bought this mat to lay on while doing my stretches... no more pain! And for the price, it is amazingly good quality, very sturdy build. It's not beautiful... just solid black, very useful and well made. As a man who enjoys sturdy, well made, no frills things... I think it's excellent.

Unusual use - dog ramp and pad for my old dog
We bought this to use for our 13 year old dog who has some trouble getting in and out of our car. We'd used a dog ramp, which works well but isn't terribly convenient. This pad gives enough height that my dog can step onto the mat end then into the car. Getting out of the car could also be painful for him. This pad eases the shock on his old joints. He likes going for rides again!

Best exercise mat I have ever bought/used before.
I am a 74 year old female but don't let age dismiss this review. I cross train in the gym 5/6 days a week, so I am using this mat for different exercise/function/PT work. Another member had this mat in the gym and I used it with permission -l0l three to four times and knew I had to purchase it. Great density foam-easy to use and fold- no slipping-and superb quality. This mat is more than what I expected!

Perfect For Home Workouts!
This 2-inch thick foldable gymnastics mat is exactly what I needed! It offers excellent support and cushioning for stretching and my core workouts. The foldable design makes it super easy to store and move around. The material feels durable and easy to wipe clean, which is nice. Definitely a great investment for any home gym or fitness routine!

Good mat at a good price
Plenty of cushioning, easy to open and fold. The corners will quickly get dinged and start to tear if you are not very gentle with the mat. Don't just shove it into a corner or on a shelf. A good buy.

For a bed workout, this is a topper for an Everlast mat
I've a few handicaps and other shortcomings, so I have, as you can see and read, a personal trainer."Kizzie" is lying on the pink mat that I got from Amazon, and underneath that is the blue Everlast exercise mat I bought here on Amazon (twice, I have two of them), and under both, I have a two-by-four "birchwood board" to make doing some exercises safe and stable on a firm surface, i.e., now that is my bed, because I can no longer get down on the floor.I also bought a portfolio or mesh art carrier that I measured, and dang if it doesn't the birchwood board perfectly. Amazon really does rock, most of the time, including this time. The Everlast mats are the exact same dimensions, although they cost more, so with the setup that I put together, my husband sets up the bed with the items including this exercise mat, nearby there is my Main Binder for working out, and a 2nd for what I call my "Middlin" workout, and that's where this pink tri-fold mat comes in. Without it, even with the birchwood board and the Everlast mat, I sink in at different points, and it also makes it too difficult getting on or off the bed supports.Treat this mat with care. And if, like me, you are lucky enough to have a personal trainer, feline or otherwise, treat your helpers well.As you can see, if you next to the "black something or other" which is my sock pressed against my knee, you'll see lumpy flesh, and that is my left knee inflammation from bursitis.I had a stroke over a year-and-a-half ago, and since then I am unable to get down or back up the flights of stairs that lead to my flat without needing daily help, sometimes for a week--in the form of my husband. If you use this mat for its intended purpose, I can see it being durable enough, as long as you don't weight "a whole lot" and can feel the mat sort of "mashing down." I have 50 lbs. to lose, some from before the stroke (because of hip, knee, and ankle inflammation I got from overdoing some work in the flat), and then I put on the rest of the weight because I could no longer take walks, not even short ones inside.I weight 170-173 lbs. and I'm 5' 9" (for reference)This mat should last me several years (as the Everlast mats are still with me), perhaps even "outlive" me, because for some--and I'm one of them--we age out faster, for a variety of reasons, which makes me think of my 89-year-old father who doesn't exercise, and until 80, maybe longer, could outwalk, outwork, out do me.Well, I guess I picked up my mother's genetics; she died just before her 70th birthday, no exercise.I'm hoping with my motivation, all the gentle yoga and other exercises I do, and the better diet I "got back into," I'll outlive, in numbers, at least one of my parents, and be happy that I did.I hope if you decide on this mat, that it works well for you either as-is or with other items added underneath.
