I have had this around 3 or 4 years, works like a charm. Deer, squirrels, raccoons gone! Nice flower garden.

low rating because it doesn't work well. I had the one with the crow's face on it for years. It protected my koi pond. It finally died. then I bought the Critter Ridder. It seems to look of better quality BUT:1. The part of if that limits he swing of the spray was assembled incorrectly. I used the dead device as a model and fixed the problem.2. It has sensitivity settings which are hard to see in practice. If you crank it up all the way it becomes a lawn spray device. Not good. I can't see the setting and don't know where I am putting the setting. If I go too far into the lawn spray setting, I get sprayed by this thing. Be good at one thing, but you failed.3. It is very difficult to use. I point it where I want it to be sensitive to motion. If I use the spray setting (top knob) too high a fine stream comes out up in the air and 15 feet away. If I use the knob on the top to try to get the spray lower, it is sending spray only about 2 feet.To get it to work I found a sweet spot between the top adjustment and pointing the whole spray device at an upward pointing angle. It took many tries while getting soaked myself to find where it works. It looks robust but is poorly designed.

I got this sprinkler to stop cats from using my yard as a litter box, and it worked. No more cat poop where the sprinkler is set up. You just have to aim it right so it catches movement.I ended up buying a second one because it did the job. It also works fine as a regular sprinkler. The only downside is the batteries since it goes through AA batteries fast. I usually have to change them every week or two. Still, it’s worth it if you’re trying to keep animals out.

Works exactly as advertised. Nothing complicated to set up, just screwing the pieces together and adding batteries. Easy to adjust both the distance it sprays and the range of motion. I use it as both a deterrent for cats and for regular watering. It seems The parts are good quality, and I don't see any leaks. The motion sensor is very sensitive, I haven't had it long enough to judge battery life. The only negative I can say is it's a little noisy, but that's a minor issue.

It doesn't work on all animals like ground hogs, also its falling apart and I can't return it now

I have bought this item 3 items to keep extras when needed as it works good, but it's not perfect for sure, but oh my God it has helped with the stray cat problem in my neighborhood!! I will continue to re- purchase as it has saved my front and back yard !!

The media could not be loaded. I bought this because of the price, as well as some of you were saying it had higher sensitivity than the orbit. If that’s true, then the orbit has extremely low sensitivity seeing as how this product is more miss than hit.I really never heard of going off at night so I would bet it doesn’t work at night since it really doesn’t work well during the day.I could run in front of it. I could wave my hand in front of it a dog could run in front of it and sometimes it would work. When it would work, it works great. Sometimes it will keep birds away if it senses them. Forget it picking up groundhogs no way. That’s why I bought this as well as birds.When it started malfunctioning and not shutting off, I didn’t think it would be a regular thing, but it turns out it is. I’ve only had this for one week.I gave it two Stars because the range is pretty good and it has a sprinkler setting that I really like. However, I will be returning this because it just doesn’t work properly.I even bought a brand new batteries and change them out and still no luck.Another thing about this product is when it is on the sprinkler setting, even if it is deep into the ground, it usually becomes unstable and falls and I noticed that it leaks pretty bad.It is a lower quality product and you can tell by the materials.My search continues.

I was hesistant to buy one of these things, but short of catching the raccoon we had no other way. It was defecating in the pool every night...This feels cheap and I suppose it is. There is some assembly required, make sure everything is tight. Once you set it up and tune it, I find it to be touble free. The battery compartment has a silicone seal that seems to have kept the water out for a few months.I do NOT think this would live for long in the sun. I have it stuck into a large plant pot under an overhang viewing the pool.
