I have been buying this since 2018, back then it was only $5. Still a good amount for $7, 4 and a quarter ounce can last a while in general. However, if you're purchasing this product for strictly sterile purposes, it is worth noting that the lube will be contaminated after opening the seal. Since it does not contain disinfectant ingredient, once it's been exposed to bacteria in air or on your hand it won't be sterile anymore, and the pathogens will grow and multiply inside over time. Therefore, it would be ideal to finish a tube quickly, otherwise it becomes a waste. If you really care about the sterile aspect, I recommend buying small, individually sealed packets of Surgilube.

Good lube, Last pretty long and when it dose dry out its not sticky like some cheaper ones

It is slippery, but it is also thicker than a water based lube.It smells a bit, unusual. Not a unpleasant smell, it isn't something I'd use as a air freshener, but wouldn't mind being in a room scented like it.It comes sealed with a foil seal that is easy to peal off, but will not be coming off during shipping. It is on there good, so no worries of it leaking.Life span of product(expiration date) appears to last at least 3 years.Very easy to make a mess though! Just gently grabbing the tube with the lid open on a fresh tube, it will want to come out and spill everywhere, so be careful!

The lube doesn't really make things very slick, definitely not good for "play"
