What a machine!
My first impression was “wow, this thing is light”! I knew the X1 Carbon series made impossibly thin and light workstations, but the engineering of this laptop blows my mind!Second, the speed of the Intel Lunar Lake 258v is incredible. I was considering a Snapdragon X Elite, however as ARM isn’t fully ready, I decided to go back to Intel, and I am not disappointed. Light browsing, multitask work between outlook and excel, and even light gaming did not slow down the machine, nor even get it hot. I ran it through the wringer and the fans kicked in only a few times, and it was pretty silent. It wasn’t perfect, I did have some crashes initially, including when pairing a Bluetooth headphone. It completely crash the machine, but afterwards has not happened since. Also, I’ve had some background tasks just crash or close when not in use. This maybe due to the power mode I was on, but I haven’t determined the root cause just yet.Pros:• premium build quality, yet impossibly lightweight• the OLED is spectacular. The color accuracy is on point, and the HDR is almost blinding at the highest brightness• Lunar Lake is a winner for productivity and all day battery lifeCons:• Price. This is the biggest con. It’s hard to justify a full price for this as you can get 90% of this package with last years model.• Weird crashes on background tasks; I may remove this if I find the root cause• The listing shows that this item had a haptic track pad, however it was in fact a click pad. Not a huge deal, however it should be stated in case if having a haptic pad is a must.

Not a great upgrade
This generation is no improvement over the 10th generation that I currently own. I tried it out for a little and found the connectivity is poor, it’s just marginally faster transferring files and not faster than my i7-1280p, which I have in my current Thinkpad, just more battery efficient. Great computer and display but nothing that the 10th Gen and up doesn’t have. The extra ram speed, the extra read and write speed and the Wi-Fi features are hardly noticeable and not worth the upgrade in my opinion. Kind of disappointed in Lenovo for this one. Oh yeah, and one other thing they trim the chassis down to nothing now the bottom panel is so flimsy because they wanna make it lighter than the previous generation, but just feels a little bit cheap to me. I’d rather have the extra weight at 2.42 pounds.

Best laptop I every owned
After 20 years of only buying Dell laptop, I finally purchased this Thinkpad. It is super light but it starts and restart much faster thank Dells. Just love this laptop
