I’m just a consumer who uses this product. You should contact the company for explanation. However, I lived in California for 10 years and know first hand that they have cancer warnings on NEARLY EVERYTHING!!!

No, you wouldn't want to use this directly on a wound. I use as an underlayment for leukotape (super sticky tape that I use to hold my kneecap into place). It probably would work ok over gauze to hold it into place.

Q: Anyone have any advice on how to cut it with scissors without getting it stuck to the scissors? Is there a particular type of scissors I should use?

I cut the lengths that I need and simply peel the paper away and apply where needed. Sharp scissors do help.
