Great For Heart Issues....
As a person over 60 year old with heart disease I find the berries a great way to keep my blood pressure and heart rate in check. I just take a handful of berries and put them in my mouth much like a major league baseball player puts sunflower seeds in his mouth. I let the berries saturate in one side of my mouth for a while and then start slightly chewing off the berry cover and either spit out the seed or roll the seed to the other side of my mouth to build up until I can find a proper place to spit them out. I use the powder for my protein drinks as well. Highly recommend for heart patients.

A great product at a great price
I was very impressed with Starwest Botanicals Organic Hawthorn Berries. The packaging was superb and Not only are you getting a quality healthy product at a great price, but the berries themselves are a good size and for the price is a much better savings than if you buy some of the other brands Hawthorn Berry Teas in the tea bags. These have a much better smell and after steeping a much better taste than most of the tea bag brands. Plus you can add whatever other herbs with these and steep the amount for the strength you want. I also ordered some dried cut and sifted Hibiscus Flowers to go along with my Hawthorn Berries. Steep both and add some light Agave for sweetener and it makes a great tea. Plus you are getting the benefits for your heart and blood pressure.

Wrong name on label. It is NOT Fructus Laevigata, it's Fructus Crataegi
This doesn't look, smell or taste like the Chinese/Asian Hawthorn berries (ShanZha in pinyin) that I've used before. The latin name is incorrect. Fructus Laevigata is Rose Hip. Hawthorn Berry is Crataegi Fructus. Big difference in the two herbs. I did not receive the wrong herb though. I did a google search on organic hawthorn berries and the product I received is indeed the same as in the images. Maybe a different variety than the ones I'm familiar with. Also, the fact that it's organic may yield a smaller fruit...
