This has worked quite well for our family, but you have to make sure you follow exactly how close to the forehead to get. Otherwise you will get many different readings.

This is the third ear and forehead thermometer I have purchased. My last broke, the first replacement I bought was bulky and really inaccurate. Then, I got this one. It’s light weight, easily fits in ear canal, and reads fast with amazing accuracy. The ear and head measurements are off only by about 0.2 degrees, which is incredible. I’ve never used a thermometer that did that and read so quickly. Even the old one I had for a year or more was only ever accurate when I had a fever, but was off by a couple degrees between head and ear.I’m very pleased with this thermometer and would highly recommend it for all ages. :)

DO NOT BUY. Inaccurate. Misread my daughter’s temperature all weekend. Finally checked with a different thermometer and she was running a fever of 103. Had to rush her to the doctor where she was diagnosed with Viral Pharyngitis, Tonsillar Enlargement and Walking Pneumonia. So glad we got to the doctor before it progressed.

I purchased this at the recommendation from my pediatrician. The particular one I had did not last over a year but the company was quick to follow up and refund me. Good customer service. It did do a good job to track temperature.
