Sturdy and easy to use

Here is what I look for in an at-home game and why some others fall short.Before I bought this set, I looked at many others on Amazon and read all the reviews.This set is close to perfect and here is why:1. Colors. The 4 colors should be unique enough so for example, the red and orange do not look too similar. The colors are fantastic!2. Tile Stand. These are incredible… very sturdy wood racks. But what makes these somewhat unique is your opponents cannot see how many tiles you have left. These are excellent. It is rare to find stands of this quality.3. Tile weight. While these are plastic, they are not the light weight flimsy tiles. These are a good weight.The tile bag is handy and functional.The overall storage bag would be better if a bit larger and with a zipper, but that does not detract from the great quality of the game itself.Overall… this is a real winner. I ordered a second duplicate set so we can combine and play with 6-8 players.

I bought this set based on many reviews saying that the tiles felt substantial and that they were easy to read. They are better than the cheap set I bought at Target but I guess since this is a travel set, the tiles are a little smaller and lighter than with a regular set. The bag that this all comes in is useless - it it so shallow and wide that it's hard to get anything to stay in it. The trays are wood but are overly nice and large for a travel set - the tiles and trays don't feel like they belong to the same set. Also, the little felt bag for the tiles is small and takes way too much time to get all the tiles back into after playing. I ditched both bags and found a shoe box that we can scoop all the tiles into after playing.

To me the best part about the set is the wooden holders. They hold 2 rows of tiles. Opponent cannot see how many tiles are left. It came with 4 holders. Tiles are plastic. Tile colors are good. Set came with a timer that works good. But we have never used a timer during the game, even playing with our old set.

Some friends introduced us to the game so we ordered it. Now we are hooked. The quality is good, it came in on time as advertised, and it's a great game!

Tiles are nice and the wood stands looked nicer than plastic but the base cracked away from the stand after one use and storage. Had to return it.

Stands splintered
