A well rounded binocular for everyday use
I received Occer 12x50 UHD roof prism binoculars to test and here is my review. Just a little about myself. I am an amateur astronomer and owns all different kind of binoculars and telescopes. The Occer 12x50 UHD binoculars come with a nicer carrying case than similar brands. The neck strap is padded, and both the Ocular lens and Objective lens come with dust caps which only come with more expensive binocular brands. The grip of the body of any binocular is very important to keep the instrument steady and this unit comes with a phenomenal non-slip grip. Overall look and feel are comparable to very high-end binoculars. It also has a nice dark green tone, which I really like. Being a roof prism and a dark tone green color make it an official binocular for any Naturalist or members of Audubon society. In the package, you will find a solid binocular, carrying bag, padded neck strap, eye piece cover and objective lens cover and a cleaning cloth. In general roof prism binoculars are considered sleek trim modern binoculars with a more complicated prism than the standard Porro Prism. Light is roughly hitting six different points inside the prism. If I go much deeper than the phase coating in these binoculars is perfect means keeping all the light in phase. The center focus wheel is well balanced, not too tight or loose. The Focus knob is also bigger means, someone with arthritis can manage the knob easily. On the challenge side, the tripod adapter plug screw takes some time to open. All roof prism binoculars have the same challenge, and I don’t consider this as an issue. In my review, these are powerful binoculars without extra weight. If we break 12X50 then it means that the Objective lens is 50 millimeters which can gather more-light and can be a good instrument in low-light settings. 12 is a very good magnification for any 50-millimeter binoculars. Most of the 50mm binoculars are 10x power.I highly recommend using a tripod when using these binoculars to get the most out of them. 50 MM are considered a happy medium, not too big or not too small. Great binoculars for clean image in low light settings. These are great unique-pair binoculars for birding as you can clearly see more details on any species of bird in a stationary setting. For serious hunters this can be a great tool for Grid glassing. I would also use these binoculars at night if you were thinking of getting into astronomy. These are great for viewing the moon, Jupiter, Saturn, Venus, and Mars. Also good for a bunch of open star clusters and globular clusters. Please do realize that with high power your field of view will decrease means it will get down to 6-7 degrees. You do need to get star charts or star chat on an app to navigate the night sky. One more thing I would like to point out is that these binoculars are BAK4 prism, not BK-7 prism which refers to a type of borosilicate glass. BaK-4 refers to a light barium crown glass that provides higher levels of image quality. The exit pupil of a BK-7 or K9 prism is not perfectly round which can easily cause clarity issues.Occer 12x50 UHD roof prism binoculars also use ESP Dielectric coating. This is a specialized multi-layer prism coating used in binoculars and rifle scopes to reflect over 99% of light reaching the user’s eyes, resulting in a clear, bright image. The object 50 mm lens is advanced fully multi-coated means lenses have multiple layers of anti-reflective coating applied to every surface making in a higher quality lens. Please do keep in mind that multi-coated lens and fully multi-coated lens are not the same. One is clearly a higher quality precision lens. Please take some time to use these binoculars correctly by learning about Interpupillary distance and how to focus the binocular correctly when using the center focus knob as well as how to adjust the diopter. The kit comes with an easy-to-read small guidebook. Enjoy your next adventure with Occer 12x50 UHD roof prism binoculars. This is a precision refined instrument and would not function properly even if dropped once so much care is needed when handling.Enjoy this beautiful planet and our neighbors in the night sky with Occer 12x50

Excellent Value – Sharp Optics and True 12x Magnification
TLDR:These exceeded expectations. They punch way above their price tag and are a serious contender even compared to more premium optics. At the current sale price, I’d call them a no-brainer. Great clarity, comfortable to use, accurate magnification, and some thoughtful extras—this is a very solid pickup for anyone needing a dependable pair of binos.Excellent Value – Sharp Optics and True 12x Magnification:Picked these up as a secondary pair to keep in my truck or take along on scouting trips. I’ve got a handful of binoculars already—from budget options like the Wozel 20x52 to a high-end $500 10x50 Steiner set—but these black 12x50s genuinely stand out, especially for the price.Build Quality:These feel tough and ready for the field. The rubberized black finish gives them a good grip, and they seem durable enough to handle bumps, pack rides, and typical hunting use. Haven’t had them in rough weather yet, so I’ll have to wait and see how they handle fog and moisture, but the build feels solid.Visual Performance:Optics are surprisingly sharp. The magnification looks right on point—when comparing them side-by-side with other 12x models I own, the zoom level felt accurate and consistent. Clarity is outstanding, even in lower light conditions. I actually prefer the image quality over my Steiner 10x50s, which cost several times more.Comfort & Adjustments:No complaints here—adjusting the focus and diopters was quick and smooth. Eye relief and spacing were perfect for me, and they’re very comfortable to use, even for extended glassing sessions. These didn’t feel like a compromise at all.Included Accessories:They come with a decent padded pouch, lens covers, and a lanyard-style sling. The accessories are more than fair at this price point and make them ready to go right out of the box. My only small gripe is with the front lens covers—they don’t have any built-in way to stay attached when flipped off, so they could be easy to misplace if you’re not careful in the field. Also, the paperwork states they come with an essentially a no questions asked lifetime warranty, covering 'Any Reason'. Pretty generous, especially for the price-point.

Easy to focus much lighter than the old fashioned ones
These are very like the old binoculars we remember from childhood but probably half the weight. Easily focuses no left, right eye focusing in. I am expecting Betelgeuse (Beetlejuice, don't say it 3 times) to go supernova any minute now. We are star and planet watching. It is a red supergiant in the constellation of Orion. This star is going to go super nova today, tomorrow or in 100,000 years from now. Just want to be ready! These are just right for me. I do want to get a tripod for it I think I have time. Tripod will help cut down on shaking hands. These will last a while they seem a little rugged.

High quality and great price
I have been using these for a couple months now. They are great for birdwatching, and sightseeing. My kids also like them alot. They are very easy to use for them, and the strap keeps it close when you need to use them quickly when out on a hike. They feel well made and will last a long time. They are bigger then some of my other pairs, but they are still small enough to carry around without feeling overburdened.

Good choice for backyard birder
I almost sent these back. I couldn’t get them to focus properly on anything! My grown kids said “I don’t know mom…they seem ok…” and I kept them. Here it is a year later. After getting my cataracts fixed they work great!! 😝 very nice, easy to use, not too heavy, reasonable price. Certainly recommend them for the casual birder. Good replacement for my 40 year old Bushnell. Glad I didn’t return them!
