New Doro for 5G network.
Bought the red one for my mum as her old Doro was not going to work when EE was changing to 5G. She is not able to use a smart phone due to sight and arthritus in her fingers. Mum loves the colour as it’s easier to find than the black one she had. Very little change in the menus so she has no problem finding numbers , messages etc.

Great product
Excellent condition. Much easier to use than previous models. Slightly larger and the sound quality and speaker facilities are greatly improved. Thoroughly recommend for the older person who cannot cope with smart phones and just want to make and receive calls.

OK, but a bit different to the previous model
My mother in law is 90 and her mobile network started to send messages saying that her phone - a Doro, and the previous model to this one - would soon stop working due to 3G being switched off, so we had no choice but to upgrade. We picked this one as it was the successor to her current phone, was the same size and form factor, and we thought it would be pretty much the same to use, but there are some differences. It's a clamshell phone and is most definitely not a smartphone, so you'll not be able to use apps or even do much online here, so as long as you really just want to be able to use texts and make & receive calls you'll be fine. There's a camera and FM radio (haven't tried these) and an emergency button on the back which, when set up, allows you to send an SOS message with a single push to specific contacts, but again we haven't tried this. The phone comes with a charger and a stand which you can place the handset in when not in use (the charger can plug into this to allow it to charge while in the stand). Battery life seems OK but as always it depends on how much you use the phone, and it seems fairly quick to charge. The screen is large and bright, and clear to read. There is a small screen on the outside of the phone which lights up with an icon showing if a text or call is being received and the name of the person as long as you have them in your contacts. Sounds from the phone are loud, and in use the call audio is clear. The only issue we have with the phone is that it is just that little bit different to use than the old one, so any "muscle memory" has to be forgotten and this can cause confusion for older users if you are switching them from an old handset. We've had a number of occasions where we've had to tell her how to send texts, only to have to go over it again a few days later, and several times when she's called us when trying to delete a text, which is alarming when this happens late at night. It's not that it's difficult to use, it's just that it's that litte bit different to how the old phone was.As is the case these days, the phone comes with minimal instructions in the box - enough to be able to insert your micro-SIM card and battery, charge it up, switch it on, identify the core features and what the buttons do, but that's all, and if you want a longer user guide you can download this from the Doro website.

Great network reception
I bought two of these for my mom too . It’s great esp. when I travel back home to visit my family in the village, it’s a reminder where we are from in terms of technology. Great network reception. Will keep it as long as it lasts

Good for the price paid.
Bought this for my wife in Black Friday sale, had several different dates for delivery, almost cancelled but then turned up early anyway. Please with it as a whole, but somewhere along the research I read that it was capable of connecting to the internet, but not wi-fi. After spending hours trying to find a browser, I discovered that the only uses of internet are actually to update the phone, and get weather forecasts. Unfortunately I had already signed up to a plan with data by then. Also had issues with IF the emergency alert button is used (which I set up with my mobile number) the phone screeches when I answer, and it also does this when the speaker function is used during a call.

Talking numbers means just that
The only thing to pick on, is that the talking keys do not work when sending a text message.
