Replacement-Voice-Remote-Control for Fire-TV-Stick/Cube and for Insignia/Toshiba/Pioneer/AMZ Smart TVs

My son's remote got washed with his blankets in the laundry. Sadly, the stock remote stopped working. So I ordered this one as a replacement, hoping it would replace the original. I have bought replacement remotes before. Usually, they need codes, and the remote never works as well as the original. This remote worked as well as the original as soon as the batteries were put in. I love that! I almost want to buy another to have a backup.

Best part of this remote for me is the addition of the volume control button. My fire stick was about 10 yrs old, didn't know that they wear out or just stop working. The battery life is better than the old one, it was a very easy set up, connectivity was a breeze. This remote control compatibility was the easiest. I think from start to finish with the setup, it may have taken 7 minutes, very easy.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Great replacement for FireTV remote at a very low price. The two programmable buttons at its bottom allow you a number of options for one-click actions. I have them programmed to Settings and Google TV, but other popular options are available as well. Paired easily and instantly to our TV.

Update 07-05-2025I found a potential problem. This is the second of these remotes that I have purchased. The problem is that the serial number on this and the previous one are the same. I was swapping some remotes as this one is a bit laggy on an Insignia Fire TV (which itself is a little laggy) and writing down the serial numbers for the remotes to keep proper track of them and noticed that this remote has the same serial number as the previous one I purchased. I had just disconnected (unpaired) the other one from a Fire TV Stick planning to move it to another setup. I was going to add a simpler remore to the Insignia setup and noticed this one has the same serial number as the one I just unpaired (such that it should not be paired with anything).So.I just had to try it.Turns out the Insignia recognizes both remotes as one. Either one will work to control it. The Insignia seems to think they are both the same remote.That said,As long as I don't have the two setups running at the same time, there should be no problem but, if both are working, I'm concerned that one remote will be controlling two different Fire devices. This was unexpected. It is rare that I would have both on at the same time and they are two rooms apart so likely no problem.On the other hand - if I had each of them connected to separate fire setups in the same room and both were on at the same time, I can see some problems arising. I thought I'd be safe with two in the same room as they are "paired" to the parent device via BlueTooth rather than IR "line of sight." I'll just have to see.On the whole, it works well but is a bit laggy compared to the less sophisticated remote I just connected.I bought two of these figuring I may return one. I like the layout of the remote on the left and was planning to return this one (right picture) but I was very surprised. The one on the left was very laggy and I will return it. This one (right) performs really well.Highly recommend.PS: A feature I found handy is a light on the remote that lights with button presses. I like the feedback - some may not. Most of my old remotes have no light. A few have lights that blink when you are trying to pair them. Again, nice feature.

This remote was exactly what I needed, after a small dog incident with the other remote. I was able to get it connected very easily! Works Great!

My poor 91 year old mom keeps losing remotes, this product is perfect. Easy to set up, VERY affordable so it's no big deal if I have to buy another one. Good purchase for me.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I bought this due to the price. It worked great for my fire cube. All the bottoms worked great as a pro remote. The only thing you will not get is the night keys.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This is a very good product. It paired as soon as I put batteries in it. It's been working flawless ever since. It may not be the real thing, but it works. I would recommend this remte.
