Significant Scratches in Plexiglass Windshield
I have a Can-Am Spyder motorcycle. I JUST purchased and installed a new windshield that was not an inexpensive upgrade to this bike. As it happened, I large rock hit my plexiglass windshield at about 70mph and caused three major scratches. Distressed of course as this was brand new and then this happened. The new windsheild did its job however, and that is why its on the bike to begin with. I caught a glimpse of the rock and it was about 3 inches wide and hat that hit me, definitely would have caused a significant injury with the force at which it hit. Its has taken some effort, but it this product was quite amazing. The abrasive used is not too harsh so it did not cloud the plexiglass at all. Each time I used it, it wiped off easily and completely and I could see a difference in getting the scratches removed. The scratches are getting removed more and more as I use the product, wipe it off and repeat the process. The area around the scratches is also highly polished and I am thinking that I will use it to take care of even the smallest nick. Have always trusted Mequiars products and this one is no exception, especially for the price. I am VERY picky about that bike and what I use on it. This is a product that I will keep for this appliction. I am a huge fan of 3M products as well and that is my standard for judgement.Quite honestly, the 3M product I used for this application, which is also amazing...just got retired in favor of this product. As well, that rock also hit my fender before slamming into my windshield. Used this same product. Scratches on the fender are gone, like they were never there. Of course, you might want to try a very small area in an inconspiquous place, which you should do with any product that removes scratches, but I would wager you will find this is a fabulous product and will not harm or mar your plastic painted surfaces where the color is mixed in or on your plexiglass/plastics.

The Easiest and Most Effective Cleaner I Have Tried
I have used several different plastic polishes over the years. Most did the job, but the time and elbow grease required varied significantly. I have applied and polished the lenses both my hand, when the housing didn't lend itself to easy access with my buffer, and with the buffer.Cars, in the old days universally had glass sealed beam headlights. Replace the headlight you replaced the lens. For the past 30, or so, years cars have migrated to halogen bulb headlights, HID or most recently LED. Though a few have glass faced housings, most are plastic. These tend to fog and yellow over the years. Since this cuts down the light they emit, and many state's safety inspections will fail them if they get bad enough, you either have to replace them or fix them. Headlight assemblies can cost a small fortune, especially if purchased from the dealer. So, fixing them is an attractive option. There are many polishing kits on the market of varying complexity. But, I find I don't need most of the pads and accessories provided, and you usually get a very small quantity of polishing solution. They also seem costly for what you are getting. So, I choose this route, buy the polish and provide my own accessories. This Meguiar's polish is provided in a generous quantity and performed astonishingly well as compared to others I have used. My wife's Suzuki SX4 headlight housings were getting quite foggy. It literally took me several minutes each side to get them back to 95% of their original clarity using soft paper towels. The electric buffer, had I hauled it out, would have taken a single pass. This bottle will go in my car cleaning and maintenance fluids box I always carry. Because it is so easy and fast to use I will make a point of touching up the various plastic lenses around all of my cars regularly. I am quite satisfied. This polish easily gets five stars.

Works ok on my cell phone and eyeglasses
Meguiar's recommends you use their least aggressive product that gets the job done. That sounds reasonable, but what if trial and error at your expense is not a good strategy for you? In that case, start with Plastx. Why? Because Meguiar's M10 Clear Plastic Polish does no scratch removing at all, and M17 Clear Plastic Cleaner removes scratches only if you have great reserves of time, energy and patience. My cell phone's screen was buffed by years of wear in my pocket. It's an old LG slider phone with clear plastic over the screen, not a gorilla-glass-protected smart phone. It had both fine scratches and a partially worn off anti-glare coating. Fine scratches polish away fairly easily with PlastX applied with a microfiber cloth. If you're a perfectionist then you can fill in any slight imperfections with M10 and get a deeper, richer gloss. PlastX is only fair for removing the anti-glare coating. The coating yielded after 2-3 dozen applications and a lot of rubbing. The result is a screen that is clearer than it was when new because there is no anti-glare coating to distort the image on the screen. Depending on the lighting there will be more glare after using PlastX because the screen is so smooth. I'd rather have occasional glare than a cloudy screen. After restoration the screen will collect new scratches, and PlastX is great for maintaining the screen.I don't recommend PlastX to remove the anti-glare and anti-wear coatings on prescription eyeglasses. Armour Etch is a better product for removing coatings, although the maker doesn't recommend it. But you had better believe the reviewers of Armour Etch who warn you not to rub it on. If you have scratches after using Armour Etch then PlastX is the next step.I tried Armour Etch and Meguiar's products on an old pair of prescription eyeglasses that were so compromised by degraded coatings and fine scratches that I had nothing to lose. Scratches remained on my eyeglasses after Armour Etch removed the coatings. Meguiar's M17 took forever to have a slight effect on the scratches. PlastX worked a lot faster. I applied PlastX with a microfiber cloth and buffed off the residue with a microfiber cloth. It took repeated applications of PlastX to get the desired result. Now my eyeglasses aren't like new, but they're useful again for distance vision. PlastX is too mild to have a noticeable impact on the prescription. It isn't aggressive enough to remove deep scratches completely, but if it was then it would probably alter the prescription. I don't use the bifocal part of these glasses because the bifocal prescription is obsolete.PlastX doesn't have a strong odor. It is neater to work with than either M10 or M17 which are runny liquids. PlastX hasn't been great in my experience, but it has been good. In Meguiar's defense they never intended for it to be used on cell phones and eyeglasses. Four stars.

Headlight restoration made easy
Works great to polish headlights to like new unless they are severely oxidized. Even then, there will be significant improvement. Use with foam polishing pads on a drill
