Q: How come it's either the best invention or the worsr thing ever..? No in between..

From what I can tell, some people either ordered wrong or received wrong part. Or don't understand what this part actually does. It does not add horsepower!!!! it just gives yours to you alot faster!!! I have pc18 installed on 2012 Ford F-150 5.0 along with a programmer, cold air intake, throttle body spacer, and exhaust system. I love it, and no problems at all.

Q: If i have an f150 sport mode that reduces delay in acceleration, how is this different?

The sport mode on your F150 still goes off of modern car emissions limits. Pedal Commander allows you to go beyond those factory limits for faster throttle response, all while staying within your vehicle's safety limits within the ECU.
