If I use this product on my deck railing will it stay there perminantly or ruin the railing?

It will mot ruin it but its a tacky formula so dont tuch it should dry up in 2 weeks or so then you have to reapply

Does this work for cardinals flying into window?

This product may be used to discourage pigeons and starlings from roosting or perching on treated ledges, sills, roofs, peaks, cornices and similar parts of municipal, industrial and commercial buildings, homes, apartment and condominium complexes, bridges and overpasses and similar structures. The product is not recommended for windows.

Will this work for woodpeckers?

Yes, it repels woodpeckers. I had a woodpecker come nearly every day this year and pecked/damage my cedar siding. I applied the Eaton bird repellent jell, and it has never since returned. I then patched up the numerous holes the woodpecker made and re-stained the cedar, and afterwards applied the gel again to keep the woodpecker away, and it is working fine.
