Great laptop for a great price
Amazing laptop for a more than fair price! Actually I'm a bit surprised how well this little laptop performs.Pros:- Very fast, faster than I thought it was going to be- Screen is gorgeous, 1080p is the cherry on top- For those that haven't had a 2-1 before, I find it fun and useful at times even if I don't use it too much- Pretty heavy, I like that because it feels like it's better quality. No noticeable flex around keyboard area- I thought "ughhh" when I first felt the trackpad but started to like it within 5 minutes- keyboard feels nice to type on- did I mention fast? This thing is fast- specs on the item page are good, but you can read those yourself- hinges are very solid, almost too solid; its a bit hard to open- power/volume keys on side is helpful- Very little bloatware, only had to get rid of 2 programs that weren't Dell's, Microsoft's or Intel's.- fan inaudible when not doing anything intensive- Doesn't get too hot, even when running 3Dmark- speakers are on the underside but sound fine- was out of stock when I got it, but I knew that. It shipped much faster than amazon predicted and was well packagedCons:- windows 10 home, not pro, but whatev- very slight screen bleed on the bottom of the screen, isn't noticeable when I'm not looking for it though- when the fan kicks up it can make very light ticking sounds. I'm not worried about it.- battery leaves a bit to be desired, batterybar predicts I should get around 4 to 4.5 hours off battery on battery saving settings.CrystalDiskMark reported roughly 535 MB/s sequential read and 184 MB/s sequential write. Wireless speed downloading 3Dmark was the same as my gaming laptop. 3Dmark's Skydiver scored it 2,904 points in the combined test. To compare, my gaming laptop with an i7-4720hq/gtx 960m scored just over 10,000. You clearly shouldn't be getting this to play games but you can probably play moderately intensive games on low settings or more casual games on med to high. If you lower the resolution from native 1080p to 768p then you should be able to play some early 2010s era AAA games on low-med settings. Just don't have too high expectations. Everywhere else the laptop is a champ. Also, its the cheapest sub 15" i5 laptop with an SSD I could find on several sites including amazon, newegg, best buy and more.Edit: After a couple more days with it, I felt I should update. The battery lasted about 5.5 hours from 99.0% with moderate brightness (It doesn't seem to like to charge up to 100%). The fan no longer makes any noise beyond what it should. The backlight bleed seems to have gotten slightly worse, and I'm very mildly concerned about how well the screen/digitizer is attached to the casing.

I got a defective item it stopped turning ON after 4 days.
The media could not be loaded. I’ve purchased somehow similar item 4 years ago, I feel the same experience now from the day I purchased. I order the above Item for my sister and I got a defective piece. It was so frustrating that it has multiple issues and it stopped working after 4 days. I’ve seen many issues, with this device. For your reference, I’m captured a few of the issues I captured with this device. find the attached videos and screenshots. Some of the issues I’ve observed are some of the issues – the device operates with a ghost touch and operates in middle by itself. Sometimes, I could not able to control the device and use the mouse pad for operating which is when I even not able to operate the keyboard as well. I tried fixing these issues by updating the driver software but could not able to solve any of the issues, but the device stopped turning ON after 4 days. It was so frustrating when a device you love has not worked after spending so much money on it. I would suggest anyone who wants to purchase the device make sure you thoroughly check once after receiving the device. I don’t see it worth purchasing this product. I did the convenient charges for the item is about 20 to 50% for this item. I do feel it's not worth purchasing and returning which would lose your money purchasing a defective piece. I've already returned this item, but I'm not sure how much I'll be refunded for this product. I would be replying to this review, once after I refunded the amount. By the way, I've captured multiple videos about the product I received due to the restriction of one video for review could not able to upload.

Good computer, albeit minor flaws
1 month in, and so far so good. The components that matter to me listed below:Display: Crisp 1080p display. The screen is of high quality and is bright and vibrant. The touch screen function is pretty good, albeit not as good as say an iPad (I don't expect anything to be as good as that though). Although it does have a bit of a glare problem, it is still a fantastic display.Keyboard: Responsive and seems to be high enough quality. I expected that at least the spacebar would feel cheaper than normal, but that is not the case. The backlit keyboard also is visible in the dark but not too bright. Overall pretty good.Internals (CPU, Graphics, SSD, etc.): So far, everything is functioning to par. The i7 processor is great and fast, the graphics integrated in the MOBO seem to be just fine for my needs (Netflix and YouTube, no gaming!). The SSD is great, fast, and good storage. Keep in mind that the computer actually only has somewhere around 200 free GB after initial startup. For my office needs, multiple browsers open, a video and music playing in the background, it runs phenomenally. BEWARE: This is not a gaming PC! You can probably get away with some games with low quality graphics, but this is not a gaming PC. These days, you need to have a better GPU than what comes in standard PCs. I use this for everyday office work.Startup: So Dell kinda blew it on this one. The power button is finicky. Sometimes you need to press it to turn it on from sleep mode, other times you don't. On those instances that you don't and you press it anyway, it turns off and you have to wait to turn it back on. A single press will turn the PC off, and it's located on the side of the PC which can easily be bumped. The volume buttons are right next to it and feel the same, which makes for awkward power downs when you're just trying to adjust the volume.Trackpad: It is awful. It is responsive, and feels nice, and the clicking works well. HOWEVER, when you put two fingers on it and try to scroll up and down, the cursor flips out and only scrolls down 70% of the time. The other 30% the screen zooms in or out, or does nothing as the cursor skips around the screen like it's having a seizure.Battery Life: It's okay. With regular use I get maybe 6-7 hours out of it. 8 if I'm lucky. The chargers for Dell are notoriously awful, outdated technology. I'd get an extra in advance for when it will definitely fail.Overall, if you need a reliable office computer and are a princess like me and need it to be fast and "high powered", this is the PC for you. Just keep in mind some annoying Dell-isms.
