Wallowa Trail Hat, a Lightweight Nylon and Stretch Mesh 5 Panel Cap

My son lost his trail hat. His girlfriend said he wanted a new one for Christmas. She sent me a link to this hat from the Tillak website. It was more expensive on their website plus shipping cost. I got it on Amazon for cheaper and free shipping with my prime membership. I am happy I decided to check Amazon before I ordered it. My son loves it for hiking and running.

For a 5 panel camping cap, this has been one of the most fashionable ones I have. It is very light and durable. It can be a bit of a pain to adjust because it starts to come loose after physical activity. I thought since it was lightweight, that it would be breathable, but it tends to trap sweat in the certain areas. It is also not very sweat and water resistant as I had hoped it would be. Despite its minor flaw, this hat is still my first choice whenever I go outdoors.

My son first recommended the hat. I like wearing ball caps to keep the sunlight off my shaved head. I always had a problem with the hats staining even after 1 use. This hat does not show staining and washes easily. A great solution for me.

It looks great and is very lightweight so I was excited. I did read a review that it was quite wide but figured I give it a try. It comes in an eco-friendly shipping box so that part was cool. Then I put it on and realize it's so wide and does have extra material once you adjust. If you got a small head (I'm at 21-22ish" so 6 3/8-7/8 hat?) and short hair then it looks weird. Even at its nearly smallest setting when adjusting the back it's very loose. I can tuck my ears under the sides. The bill size however is good sized. I wish it was more narrow I'd probably be able to pull it off. I'll check back if they got new products.

Good quality hat and exactly what I was looking for. Brim is stiff and blocks out a lot of sunlight for the most part. Also, side vents allow plenty of air to go through.

I love this hat. I wear it everywhere. It looks cool for casual wear or when you're working out. I sweat in it all the time and the material doesn't stain easily like other hats I have.
