The Wirecutter recommended this as their 'upgrade pick'. It's expensive but my previous spinner bag had a busted wheel and after a long tour of duty I felt it was time for something new. Something nice. I treated myself to this bag and I'm so glad I did. I quickly added a duffel bag / underseat carryon bag which helpfully fits right on the handles of this 22 inch spinner bag. I can walk around in an airport at a fast pace deftly maneuvering this 4-wheeled wonder through even the busiest terminals. But getting there is only half the fun, what's it like when you get there? This bag is unbelievably well designed with thought given to how to make use of every cubic inch of space. A zippered pouch lined orange for small items. A pocket for travel documents. Room for three hangers of clothing. A large front pocket perfect for my MacBook Air. With all the main supports heavily armored with tough plastic to not only provide protection of the goods inside but also serving to maximize the internal space. It might feel a tiny bit loosey-goosey but this is absolutely to the thing's benefit. The bend-dont-break model makes this an incredibly robust piece of luggage. Able to stand up to the daily abuses of travel even if that travel is an extended period of time. I spent 34 days on the road in the fall 2023 with this Briggs & Riley 22-inch spinner bag and was always grateful to have it as my constant companion on an unforgettable trip.

I finally went from a B&R duffel bag to this because I wanted the convenience and it's everything that I could have asked for. There are tons of functional pockets in this, the CX system works well and it has good storage capacity.Storage: This has lots of space and the CX system really helps to get everything packed nice and tight. It was designed well and has many functional pieces/pockets all around to meet all your needs.Wheels: I purchased this even though there was a 1-star review. I really don't think I can blame B&R for that issue. I feel like the issue they're experiencing is just a design flaw of luggage with spinners. It's more of an inconvenience. I had no issues rolling this on thin carpet, perhaps they were on some rough carpet terrain. When transitioning to different surfaces I had no problem unless there was a lip that you'll find when hard floors meet carpet. You'll just have to use a little more force for that, not a big deal. The wheels in the back are bigger than the front and rolling it on the back 2 works great.Misc: The handle is sturdy enough but I feel like the telescoping part could be thicker/sturdier. This comes in when you're pushing the luggage and I found myself not fully extending the handle and keeping it closer to the bag itself. Spinners are a bit awkward in general because of the way you move these things, a variation of push/pull from above.Overall, it's a great bag that's a bit expensive. It's a nice addition to my B&R duffel bag and briefcase and I highly recommend it. I'll probably get the medium size when I travel abroad in the future. Plus, I'll probably have this quality bag for life since it's backed by a great warranty, unless of course it's lost/stolen or damaged beyond repair/totaled.

Another great purchase from Briggs and Riley! We purchased this 26 inch medium expandable Baseline Spinner in Olive Green for my mother, and she absolutely adores it. Its capacity is much larger than I had expected; in fact, it holds so much that my mom definitely overpacked for her two week trip. Both well-constructed and attractive, the baseline spinner has tons of zippered pockets and interior pouches for easy organization. Plus the olive green color helps it to stand out from the sea of black luggage at baggage claim.We have several other Briggs and Riley bags and love them all. Although pricier than their competitors, the quality is unmatched AND they offer a Lifetime Warranty, a true rarity these days. My mother bought her first set of Briggs and Riley about 25 years ago. Two of the three pieces still function wonderfully, but the wheels on her smallest spinner began malfunctioning 5 years ago. Briggs and Riley honored their warranty and returned the bag to us as good as new. We are customers for life!
