Best HR chest strap in the market right now.
This is second Polar H10 chest strap, the first one is still working after 6 years but the strap gave up so I decided the buy the full set again. What can I say about it that other reviews haven't yet, not much really. In simple words, the sensor in itself is very reliable and accurate and the strap is quite comfortable to wear, stays on your chest whether you are running, or swimming or performing any other physical activity. Back to the sensor, I use it primarily for when I run and do weight lifting and calisthenics whether I record the session with my Polar Vantage M3 or through the Polar Beat app and also for HRV measurement with two third party apps. Great product, do not hesitate to buy it.

Always reliable Polar H10 with my Apple Watch Ultra
I have owned a couple of H10 chest strap heart rate monitors. It is especially valuable when using Polar fitness equipment. However, I recently moved to an Apple Watch Ultra (version 1). The Apple landscape has really changed with respect to fitness monitoring. I had found that the Apple Watch is not always reliable at heart rate if it's not put on properly. It has to be on firmly, about an inch or so up the arm from the wrist bone knob. While I have done that, I still have phantom beats (HR reported well beyond my maximum) and occasionally other things during WORKOUTS. I have not 100% resolved good HR reading during workouts. However, all the rest of the day they are fine.Enter the Polar H10. I decided for workouts that I would just use the strap in conjunction with the watch. So at the beginning of the workout, I pair the H10 in the watch settings using bluetooth. I'm now good to go for the entire workout with 100% reliable success. The reason for getting the latest model H10 was they have allowed the bluetooth to work with multiple devices and also connect with most gym equipment (I believe earlier models were not so versatile). Great combination and now great data!

Works great with Apple Ultra 1
Update: I have one caveat, which knocks it down from five to four stars. Sometimes, the sensor that previously paired fine with my Apple Watch Ultra 1 simply won't. If I forget the device and then reconnect it, it works perfectly every time.Bottom line: if you connect your watch via Bluetooth to the Polar H10, the heart rate data shown on the Fitness app is entirely from the H10 -- in other words it overrides the watch's native optical sensor. Since the optical data is occasionally highly inaccurate, you will very much benefit from buying this Polar sensor if recording accurate heart rate during workouts is important to you.Regarding the Polar Beat app. Download it to your iPhone (mine is 15 Pro running iOS 18.1.1) and then download the user manual from the Polar website before you try using the app. You must have the strap on and sensor active (see manual, smear a little saliva on strap sensors) in order to set up the device. Set up the H10 and turn off ANT+ to save battery power. Check that your heart rate shows up on the Polar app. Now, go to Settings on your watch, select Bluetooth, and scroll down to Health Devices to connect to the Polar H10. When you do this, the heart rate on the Polar app will immediately drop off. As best I can tell, nowhere does it tell you that the H10 and Polar app talk via a discrete and invisible channel, which drops off as soon as a device is connected to the H10 via Bluetooth. Anyway, once you've connected to the watch the Polar Beat app becomes completely superfluous because the Fitness app collects all the H10's data, and more.Further down this rabbit hole...if you disconnect the watch from the H10 (forget the Bluetooth connection) and run without carrying your phone, the Fitness app will display optical heart rate and the watch's Polar Beat app will not record heart rate data, so at the end of your run you'll have no record from the H10. If you want a record, you need to run with your phone, ensuring that neither the watch nor the phone are connected to the H10 via Bluetooth (the phone will prompt you to do so, so decline that invitation). You'll then have H10 data on the Polar Beat app, and optical data from the watch (during your run what you see is optical data). So, back to the bottom line. The H10 is a great addition to biometric data collection for Apple Ultra 1 and iPhone 15 Pro users.

BLUF: Failed to Connect and there is zero customer support.Longer: Choose this HRM for the positive reviews and the fact you could swap bands while maintaining the same sensor (unlike garmin.)Bought it, spent 1 hour trying to connect. It would connect to bluetooth but never registered in the app. I figured I was doing something wrong so I tried Swapping out batteries (nothing). Clicked support in the app, kept being taken back to a FAQ. Which was useless. Absolutely no number or chat feature on their website. Finally google the company and call them and get a friendly guy with Polar Inc… only to be told this is not the same company and he gets calls all the time from people looking for tech support, for products his company didn’t make. We both laugh, and I hang up….then I promptly returned this useless hunk of plastic.(P.s. bought a garmin, which connected directly to its app right out of the box, and even played nice with my smart watch. So it is possible to have a good cusomter experience with a hrm.)Conclusion: The is ZERO customer support, which I only found out because the product failed to work.
