CanonSX740 HS PowerShot - Black

Q: I'm very keen on this camera but i'm so used to raws i can't imagine editing without them. how have photographers got on with jpegs?

I use this camera for travel adventure holidays where I have very limited luggage. The jpegs are good I made the compromise for the x40 zoom and the convenience and adaptability of this camera.

Q: Can anyone with this camera recommend a good case for it please? Thank you

Kinokoo make one specifically for this camera - very sturdy and semi-fitted(on Amazon).

Q: Can you use an external microphone with this camera?

There doesn't appear to be a suitable connection for an external microphone.

Q: Is the auto focus good, particular when zooming in? current camera is a canon powershot sx210 and some of my landscape shots aren't quite in focus.

If you see my review, this is not a good camera. I returned it because it is not a patch on the G7X I already had. It looks cool but the best thing about it is the Canon badge.
