Quality made. Right price.
I bought this for my granddaughter. Item was shipped fast and packed well. This is a good value instrument. It is nice looking and definitely not a toy. Heavier than some Ukes I've played and the strings could be a better quality but the tuners are very nice and should hold tune well when the better strings get put on. She will have loads of fun with this. Ibanez makes great guitars and now a great ukulele at very reasonable prices.

Great quality & sound
The build quality is excellent and the sound is quite nice. Finger action is easy and the keys stay put like they're supposed to. My daughter learned twelve chords her first day owning it.

Excellent Quality for the price . This a serious little instrument !
This a serious little instrument that provides remarkable quality forit's price range. Many economy ukes may look like a musical instrument, but are actually just about useless with tuning keys that slip, poor qualitystrings that never stop stretching, atrocious intonation and excessively highaction. The UKS10 includes excellent Aquila nylgut strings, tuningmachines that actually work, comfortable action and an appealingtone. Intonation is not perfect but acceptable - goes a little sharpup the neck - which could probably be corrected by cutting the saddledown.I am an accomplished multi-instrumentalist with many expensiveinstruments and very much enjoying playing this one.

Disappointing
The media could not be loaded. A disappointing ukulele that is simply far too expensive for what it is.At first glance, there is much to like here for a beginner instrument. Nice enough construction, generous amount of frets, reasonably good geared tuners. But is let down totally by the price and the strings it comes with.Firstly, at this price, you can get a comparitively built model from Kala (such as the KA-S or KA-15S) for about £20 less money. Add in the fact that the strings that Ibanez ship these with are hopeless (slippy, cheap nylon that I thought we had seen the last of with ukuleles) that make it sound dead with minimal sustain. You will want to change the strings, so budget another £7-£10 for those on TOP of this list price. And guess what - the Kala's come with Aquila strings already, meaning the true price difference is even bigger. And no, I don't work for Kala - equally an instrument from Baton Rouge, Snail or Lanikai will be comparitive in construction but MUCH better value. You 'could' make this one sound better with new strings and some tinkering - but the question is - for the price - why would you? That tinkering costs more time and possibly yet more money.A shame - but dont be taken in by the brand name - at the end of the day, Ibanez are famed for their guitars not their ukuleles. Not a bad beginner uke
Got this uke to start up and learn the instrument. With a little tweaking and care it was a nice little instrument.First thing - the intonation is poor. Almost unusable. I fixed this by "extending" the bridge for both of the middle strings with small cut pieces of wood from those oil diffuser smell good things. Worked. Intonation is on.The tone is not the greatest. You can tell ibanez is a guitar company and not a uke company. Very sturdy construction results in a thick weighty instrument and a dead sound. Sustain is minimal, body does not resonate much, and the bulk of the sound is from the attack on the strings. Replacing the original strings for some Aquilas did help, but not as much as I hoped. my girlfriends mahalo ultd2 sounds way better. Lots of character in that uke.So all in all if you're serious about uke this probably isn't for you. It's great as a beater to take anywhere and not have to treat like fine china, and great for starting out cuz it's very easy to play and tuning is a breeze. Functionally it's very nice (once you fix intonation) but it doesn't 'sing'.

Great quality at this price point.
Great quality for this price point. Sounds nice and stays tuned well once you break the strings in. The metal tuners were the big selling point for me, most others at this price point are plastic. A great beginner ukulele.
