Q: I received my cross pen as a gift and it is beautiful, it uses a .7mm gel ink and I prefer the finer .5mm gel ink, is there a suitable replacement?

I dont think they make the 0.5mm in gel with Cross, I checked ATCross.com The Selectip and Slim (like the Click") sizes are available in a .07mm Ballpoint, which feels like a fine hybrid, makes a Fine line. The Porous Fine point is cool, seems indestructible, and it was just over $2 at Office Depot. Make sure you know whether it's the Selectip or the shorter Slim, and watch out for "Porous Point". Only the Twist-out ballpoint comes in "fine-med.-broad" designations. The others come in "Black" or "Blue" (.7mm), or Medium (1.0) or Broad. I found the .7mm to be good in dictation, it's fast. Just write bigger. Paper's cheap. They've upgraded their archival ink to more like hybrid.

Q: my gel cartridge says 1004 0.7mm, which refill do I need?

If you are using a Cross rollerball pen (it should have a cap) then this refill should work. The only Cross pens that this refill will not fit are the Classic Centurys as they take a Slim Gel Rollingball refill. Also note that the Cross pens that take the refill that you are inquiring about will also fit the Porous point refills (which is like a felt tip) and the Jumbo ballpoint refill if you prefer ballpoint ink.

Q: My Cross rolling ball pen has a part # 1112 ? --- Is this the same as a #1112 or will it fit a Cross pen that has a # 1112 refill in it ?

They will fit but do not buy them. I've bought them 3 times now hoping the next one will be better and each time they last about a week and then run out. This product doesn't function and is a waste of money

Q: My old gel cartridge says 0.7mm 0411, which refill will fit?

This one should work for you. I bought these to replace one with the same numbers as you show above.
