Lots of sparkle (great sizzle)
I have been wanting to stop drinking Mountain Dew for years (or at least cut WAY back), but every time I try to quit I always end up going back because I miss the sizzle of carbonated soda. Gatorade or plain water just doesn't have enough pizzazz for my palette. A couple of years ago I never would have considered sparkling water as a realistic alternative to soda. I hate diet soda, so I assumed that sparkling water would be terrible. But after just 2 or 3 weeks of drinking this stuff, I am convinced it will do the trick. This Talking Rain brand has every bit as much sizzle as I get out of a can of Mountain Dew (possibly more), and I love that. And surprisingly, it doesn't really seem like I'm missing any flavor or anything. It's weird I know. You would think that without all the sugar that it would be a total system shock to drink just water, but for me, it has not been a shock at all. For now, I'm still drinking some Mountain Dew here and there due to caffeine addiction, but I'm hoping to get away from it completely. The only downside to this is that it costs 2x more than soda. Ouch! I hated how much I was spending on soda as it was, so it's no comfort that I'll now be doubling that expense. However, there are other factors to consider such as dental health and over all health in general. As far as comparative shopping goes, I don't have anything to compare with as of yet since I haven't tried any other brands. (I have more brands on order so I can compare later.) But what I'm looking for is the most *burn* I can find. I crave the sizzle sensation that comes from opening a fresh, cold can of sparkling water. And so far, this Talking Rain brand has proven to have lots of sparkly sizzle! There's no assurance that everyone will share my thoughts and opinions, but you can't go wrong in giving it a try 1 time.

Canned water. Awesome.
I was thinking to myself the other day "Why don't they make canned water?"Well, now they do! My only complaint is this is carbonated water and I would prefer just plain water in a can, but I can deal with a bit of the bubbly. The cans arrived on time with no dents. My purpose for these was to keep with my other canned food in case of hurricanes or other emergencies where I may lose power and utilities to my home.Unfortunately these are so tasty I have been drinking them every day, ruining any plans I had for long term storage. I really like that there are no additives, no corn syrup, and no artificial sweeteners. Just delicious, bubbly, water.EDIT 10/2012 - I have now ordered 4 shipments of this water, and have received only one shipment that was not damaged or leaking. The most recent shipment had 4 cans burst, soaking everything in the package. Thankfully there was nothing else in the box (like food or electronics) that was damaged. The one shipment that was not damaged came in about 7 layers of bubble wrap. All the others (the leaky ones) had only a single layer of wrap, which is not even close to being adequate protection. My UPS guy gets rather concerned when packages make hissing noises and leak fluid all over his truck... he was relieved when I informed him it was just water. Until Amazon fixes their packaging issues I will not be ordering this product again.

It's really just okay
I never thought I'd be picky about sparkling water/club soda/seltzer/snobby water. Because Amazon was offering packs of 24 TalkingRain at a great price, I ordered a few cases. In my opinion, this water is just okay. If you like Seagram's, you'll like this. It's just way too harsh - too carbonated, perhaps? I prefer Poland Spring and its gentle, rolling bubbles. Straight outta the can, this stuff almost burns. However, it's great for mixing. I like to add it to lemonade or mix it with a few spoonfuls of fruit-flavored syrup. Also, in every single case I received a number of cans (at least three per package) were damaged. In one shipment, I only received 16 out of the 24 cans, and they were scattered loose in the box. I won't be ordering this again because heavy, sopping wet boxes would lead to a bad relationship with my UPS deliverer.

Amazingly Awful
I purchased many of the newly branded Sparkling Ice flavors and they were all good to great. I was anxious to try the lemon-lime, but could not find it in the new packaging with the Sparkling Ice label. So, I ordered the TalkingRain Lemon Lime cans. Quite frankly, it's awful - simply undrinkable. It tastes like they forgot to add flavor - tastes like bad club soda. Cannot taste any lemon or lime. Four different people in my family have tasted and all found the taste to be awful and had to spit it out. So, the Sparkling Ice in the skinny plastic bottles is great (lemonade, orange mango, black raspberry, etc.), the cans of TalkingRain in Lemon Lime are not.
