Not perfect but close enough.
This bottle is compact and the cap seals properly. I am able to carry it to and from work without have to worry about it leaking in my bag. Since it is plastic and not glass I also do not have to worry about it cracking unless something heavy is dropped on it.The only thing that does not please me about this is the size. I knew it would be small but expected it to be a little bigger. It doesn't affect my writing until the bottle gets about halfway empty and I can't get as much ink on the nib as I would normally do. If I'm home this isn't a problem and I just refill it. If I'm at work it is troublesome. I can't haul a quart sized bottle of ink around with me to refill this little one.Despite the size of the bottle I still recommend getting two or three. They are convenient to use and transport and are not prone to tipping over.

Fountain pen ink lovers on the go, this one's for you!
Fountain pen enthusiasts rejoice! Don't think of these as ink bottles, think of them as little tiny, traveling inkwells that actually seal completely shut!I have used these to take some inks camping so I could journal without fear of running out of ink.. when filled to the first ridge the ink is deep enough to easily fill a pen several times, but it is narrow enough that you're not wasting ink like you would making a glass inkwell deep enough to fill a pen from.I use this to keep my troublesome Baystate Blue in, because I'm afraid of spills from the huge bottle I have (that has a cracked lid). I leave a little in one of these bottles and use it as a well for my glass dipping pen when I want to use that ink...The depth of the bottle is PERFECT for getting a good dip on a J. Herbin glass dipping pen's full clear tip!I just ordered, no lie, 15 of these so I could have some handy for using with dipping pens without worrying about dipping into (and potentially knocking over) a full sized bottle) and so I could tuck a few into a compartment in my backpack-purse when I go out, for emergency pen fills. More of them are for sharing some of my inks with a friend in a bottle that's a little more generous than offering him a filled sample vial.

Very thin walls, cheap construction
Cheaply made, but functional. I have to say I've been pretty leery of carrying this around with me, so it sits on my desk in case I forget to ink my fountain pen before going to work. It's just too flexible and I'm worried that setting it down a little hard in a laptop case and landing on the inkwell crushing it enough to spill through the cap, or even wearing pants that are too tight! It's low profile though, so you barely notice it in a pocket. (Which may be part of the problem). I only use it when keeping it in a jacket or (closed) shirt pocket is an option.I more often use a larger 2 oz nalgene wide mouth jar/bottle with much more solid sides. Both are bulkier, but I don't trust the construction of this bottle enough personally. (The 1 oz nalgene bottle would be better size-wise, but the 2oz are half the price or less for some reason - mine was $1.50 and prime add-on. I'm cheap, and this bottle is very solid.)I've seen some price gouging on this ... I paid $5, sold by Amazon. YYMV.If you are looking for a *real* inkwell, just buy an empty bottle of Ink from Goulet Pens. I've seen them for less than a dollar there, although you have to pay shipping. Buy some other stuff while you are there to save on shipping costs if you like fountain pens and the highest quality paper. ;-) I just purchased a *very* nice 50 ml empty bottle of Iroshizuku ink there for a few bucks to use as an Inkwell. Search for that name here on Amazon and you'll see what I mean.

It's Just A Plastic Bottle!
It's just a plastic bottle, for heavens sake. Why ask me to review it?I filled it with ink. Flew with it in my checked baggage. It did not leak. It is aesthetically neutral. My life did not change. It cost a lot for being just a little bottle. I guess I felt better having it, but I could probably just put my filled pen in a plastic bag and done fine, and...it's just a bottle!!! Amazon, please go away with the reviews.

Use at home not for travel
cap is solid construction the bottle closes really ight. Sidewall of the container flexes a lot I'm afraid of an eventual puncture or leak,If you are into comic inking and need something for your desk so u can buy ink in bulk, get this one its great. Travel inkwells should be a little more solid so keep this at home.

Perfect for calligraphy ink...
I use this to mix a white calligraphy ink. I don't travel or anything so I don't know how well it does that way but it's been perfect for mixing or storing ink for my dip pen (I use a straight holder for my nib). I hope to pick up more of these for other colors. Perfect size.

Works for me
Tiny bottle. I use it to mix and store inks. Works as an inkwell for speedball sets, feather quills, and brushes etc. Travels well. Reusable. I have 4 of these, no issues with leaking so far. Kinda a high price for a basic little plastic bottle, but I guess it is an unusual size, and I can't find anything that meets my needs better.
