This would have received 5 stars except for:The Bad1) Not including the overlays for every game was a bad idea. Yes you can buy them at their site for more money but since many games are difficult without them, you lose one star2) Most of the sounds are different and some are even missing. While most of the games play very much the same, having different and missing sounds really takes away from the nostalgia3) The overlays slip out too easy when playing. I have some original overlays to compare. They old ones don't slip out when playing yet these new ones don't always line up with their buttons and slip out of the controller too easy.The Good1) Lots of games2) Easy hookup to the TV without need that old game adapter box giving a great picture (no fuzziness)3) Controllers feel like the originals

Sure, you could go on eBay and spend a small fortune ona used Intellivision I or II, wait with quiet desperation until it arrives,then have your heart broken and dreams shatteredwhen what you get is a worn-out piece of almost useless junk,where all the elctronic contacts are shot,the overlays rubbed-out into faded illegibility,and cartridges that are looselyheld togetheralong with God-knows-what rattling around inside.Sure, you could do all of that ...Or, you could buy this.Think about it: it's a brand-new, mint condition Intellivision console,built with contemporary parts of long-lasting durability,freshly printed overlays, and all the games built right into the unit!No cartridges to store or worry about misplacing.It even comes with all the IntelliVoice games,like the classic "B-17 Bomber",and legendary games that werein the release chute, but never saw the light of day because of the Intellivision's eventual cancellation,like "World Championship Baseball"!And get the "Deluxe" version: comes with more overlays. *wink*Look, you're reading this because you're interested in buyinga new & improved model the best, most fun console ever made!You can see for yourself I don't do a lot of reviews,but the ones I have written are because I have a genuine affection for the product.Do yourself a favor & get this. You won't be sorry! I'm sure not!

I bought the Intellivison Flashback console just for the controllers, which are great! The four stars for the controllers and overlays (especially at the price I paid for the thing). The selection of games on the console is great, quite a few of my childhood favs are on there (the AD&D games, Sea Battle, Space Armada, Space Battle, Triple Action, Frog Bog), but I do wish there were at least a few 3rd party games. The emulation is OK, the UI to select games is terrible and can be really confusing (an obvious half-assed repurposing of the Atari Flashback UI), and the video-out to a modern HDTV is passable at best.I'm using the controllers with a USB adapter on a Raspberry Pi running the jzIntv emulator via the RetroPi emulation platform. Considering the computing power and price difference of my setup, a comparison really isn't fair, but once I saw how good emulation over HDMI to my HDTV could look, it's really hard to go back.

Ahh, Intellivision. If you never had one, you wouldn't understand them. Atari vs Intellivision. Yes, the controller was bizarre, but thankfully it still is. This little woodgrained wonder is packed with 60 games, some winners, some losers. Overall, I think the sound is fine. The picture is great on an old tube tv. The only thing that takes away a star is not included all 60 sets of overlays.

I am a huge Intellivision fan and I must say that this system is VERY well made! The games play very similar to the Original console and the sounds are very close as well. The controllers feel the same as well. Overall a very well made version of the Intellivision! I would recommend this to anyone that likes Intellivision but does not have the Original console!

The quality of this Intellivision Plug N Play is very high quality. The controllers feel like the originals and the game selection is great (Although I wish it included Burger Time!).

Product is good, but nowhere to stow the controllers like on the original console, which leads to a bit of a mess. User interface for selecting games is ugly and difficult to navigate. Games are not as much fun as I remember, but I won't take points off for that!

Just like I remembered. Advanced dungeons and dragons is called Minotaur. I love this machine.
