Knights Templar- Entertaining but you better know your stuff!
This book, although entertaining, is very complex and is not a primer for the novice on this topic. Although, I am familiar with much of the material the author requires, the reader needs to have full command of Tarot Cards, Egyptology and Greek mythology and philosophy, alchemy, Freemasonry, geography, sacred geometry, astrology, astronomy, medieval history and monastic knight histories. Maps and illustrations are helpful and coordinated with text very well. The book is very sophisticated and the reader needs to prepare to look up many items to promote understanding, even then a re-read is necessary.William Mann makes a great deal of assumptions and associations not illuminated previously with his impressive knowledge of the above subjects which he intertwines into and interesting story; that never ends. Most readers will be unable to comprehend this author for example he refers to Pythagoras many times. In my experiences, even though his theorems are featured on Mathematics SAT Tests for over 50 years, the majority of the population is unfamiliar with Pythagoras or any of his contributions. This book primary focus is on the 1398 voyage of Prince Henry Sinclair, Earl of Orkney, to the New World, what is today Nova Scotia where his presence was recorded by the Mikmaq Indian Legends about Glooskap. William Mann, a decedent of a Supreme Grand Master of the Knights Templar of Canada, investigates and reveals materials that maps out the exploits of Prince Henry via several sources available. Additionally, he has now rediscovered the site of the settlement established by Sinclair in the New World. Many of the clues that at first appear to have no meaning whatsoever, become part of a larger understanding of the basis for the Order's mystical and esoteric activity. It appears when all the evidence is summarized and then analyzed, Mann seems to suggest the Templar’s were far from embracing black magic, heresy, and demonology. The Templar’s did nothing worse than promote a philosophy of wisdom and truth that reconciles ancient teachings of a supreme being.

Awesome Book
William Mann is one of the greatest authors of all time. I have all three of his books which I have just read them all. I love the research and the sequence of his thought pattern in writing such awesome books. Great Job. Love them all.

It is a good read
The Templar People are in a world of their own. They do provide curiousity and I think keep the economy going, esp.with book sales and Documentaries.

COMPELLING EVIDENCE IF YOU KNOW THE CLUES TO LOOK FOR!!
It is interesting to see how the people with the mindsets that find this re-surfacing info upsetting to their "theories" or beliefs of how spiritual power gets handed down almost always tell you how awful these books are that you wouldn't even want to "waste your time"!! I'd say, take that as a clue that there might be some important info within!! I've been following this intrigueing scenario for most of my lifetime here and now, and this is important info coming out~~!! Look at the bodymindspiritjourneys.com website if you're interested in tours to some of these "Sinclair sites" and other Templar history sites.

interesting but hard to understand
I thought this was a good book but quite frankly a lot of the explanations exceeded my capacity to understand.

Give this book a pass;there are other excellent books on the subject(s).
As a long time follower of The Kights Templars,Henry Sinclair, and everything about the Freemasons as well as having followed the numerous undertakings to uncover what andbwhy something was buried on Oak Island,Nova Scotia;I was anxious to read this book.About the only thing worthwhile in this book is the many mysterious things, and that appear to be centuries old;that have been found at vatious locations around Nova Scotia. However the author gives only scant information about these artifacts, and adds nothing new.He gets all wrapped up in all kinds of gibberish and tries to tie it all together with Sacred Geometry.Quite simply;if you are trying to find out anything about the early visitors (before Columbus) to Nova Scotia and/or eastern North America;you'll simply be wasting your time with this book.there is a lot of information that has already been published about The Templars,Freemasons,Viking Visits, etc, and particularly there is much available about who have spent fortunes, lost live, continued to find evidence of "workings" in and around "the money pit"on Oak Island. One day it will all be explained, but you won't find anything worth your time in this book...Sorry!!
