It's casein. What sense can you say? It clumps up quickly in contact with acids (even milk). It's very thick compared to whey products, as it should be. The vanilla flavoring is fairly mild, medium sweet, and doesn't compete with other flavors if blended with fruit or other products. Definitely feeds your body very slowly, as attested to by the fact that if I take it an hour or so before bed, I wake up with no hunger and no signs of fat burning having taken place over the night. Great product if you're trying to support muscle maintenance (or gain) and can't get enough protein throughout the day. Don't recommend it (or any casein product) at night if fat loss is your goal.

So far so good. Taste is up to the user. To me all protein suppements I've tried have never had an appealing taste but this is tolerable. Usage: less water makes a very thick, almost pasty consistency. More water thins it down. I prefer the thick mix and just deink it quickly and get it over with. The. Wash it down with some deinking water or juice.

Mixes pretty easy (in maybe 5 seconds using my protein shaker), good consistency, and not too sweet! Great value for the money. Keeps me feeling full for long so meets my needs for overnight/throughout the day muscle building. The only con I have is that it only contains 25g of protein and the amino acid profile is not listed on the bottle or website. Can't tell if there's enough leucine in it to activate mTOR (need 3g) so I have to mix it with soy milk for the extra boost. This works well on a bulk, could be an issue on an aggressive cut. If they have a link to amino acid breakdown somewhere on the bottle or website that would help boost this product more when comparing to other brands.

Chocolate Fudge is a delicious flavor. Not the typical chocolate flavor, but it really grew on me fast. Creamy when mixed with almond milk or with water. Not too thick. Mixes quite well with either. Not the most filling protein I've had before, but I had this a long time ago, and have now gone back to it. For a reason. Good stuff. Would recommend giving it a shot. Worth it IMO.

Tastes awful. Powder does mix with milk. It cements in the mixer and does not come out from a normal dishwasher cycle.

Best tasting casein I’ve tried yet. Casein is a very fine powder, and this product mixes great. It’s a little thick but adding extra water or milk helps thin it up a bit. I still wake up kind of hungry, but not as much without it. It’s easy on my stomach so I’m not up all night with the bubbles. Great product.

I have used Rule 1 proteins for years, from the standard whey to their isolate formula. Their casein formula is no slouch and the chocolate fudge flavor is spot on. This is definitely thicker than the average protein but mixed well for me using almond milk. I take this in the mornings after the gym, before heading to work and it really helps keep my energy and appetite in check until lunchtime. YMMV but I’d recommend trying it especially for the price.
