Quirky stylus, but an ideal family game!
Santa brought the U-draw studio and Pictionary for Wii for Christmas, God bless him.Using the stylus takes some getting used to. It doesn't always react exactly as expected, and it can be a challenge for new players to learn how to make it work properly. Once you get the hang of it, though, no problem. We've always enjoyed Pictionary and Pictionary Jr. and both are included on the game. Being familiar with how the game's played, we wondered how we'd be able to do "all play" when there's only one drawing pad: only one team draws, whoever's currently controlling play. It's do-able but tough if you're playing with a crowd, since the artist is both drawing AND listening while every player shouts out possible answers. We have a 6 year old (1st grade, early reader) and a 10 year old. Both can play and have a definite shot at winning the game. There is some reading involved, but if the artist can't read the word, she can press "new clue" to try something else. The artist has the option to select an adult clue or junior clue. The junior level always gives a category before the drawing begins, so sometimes that makes it a bit too easy (especially if the artist chooses a color to draw with). For example, on the junior level, the group looks away while the artist peeks at the clue, but the guessers hear "The category is Vegetable." If the artist chooses green, the group starts shouting "green beans," "broccoli," etc. Truthfully, they could guess without any drawing! We haven't tried the adult clues yet because we haven't played without our "small fry," but I'm pretty sure they don't use the category hints (too easy). We had an adult family over last night and everyone enjoyed playing together. They had never used the stylus before, and we chose junior clues the whole way through, but we all enjoyed ourselves. Frankly, the kids whooped us.Really a great game to bridge all age levels, beginning with early elementary school, especially since you can choose the regular game length, short, or super-short. Nice for those with shorter attention spans! A terrific family game!

LOVE THIS GAME!
My family has always loved the Pictionary game and have played it since it first came out many years ago. Now I have 2 grandchildren, ages 6 and 8 and they like to play it also but they have a hard time with knowing about the words. I purchased this because it has a junior version and it is GREAT! The grandkids can read most of the words on their own and when they run into one that they can't read or don't understand they can pass on it and go to another. So far we have only been able to play the junior game because the kids always want to play...we r going to have to send them for a play date somewhere so the grownups can play a game. However, I think I probably love it more with my grandkids!

Classic with a twist
This wii game has a few twists on the traditional way of playing pictionary. In addition to drawing with teams, you are playing the board game that includes squares like 'straight line only' or 'rotating screen' while you draw. There is also a square that makes you use the opposite dominant hand to draw. Overall, this is good fun with friends and family just like the classic version. The nice thing about playing it on the wii is you can save your game for later, and you dont need to worry about pads of paper or pens. You will need the drawing tablet in order to play this game, which is sold separately.

Must have gaming accessory to play this game
Ordered with the draw accessory and only received the game. So I can’t play it. If you don’t already have the accessory to play this game I would wait because it is hard to find for a decent price.

Pretty Good game
This game is fun. Is definitely better when it is all adults playing or all kids - it is hard to mix and match teams if you have younger kids who don't really have a big drawing ability. My 11 year old and us adults had fun but my 7 year old daughter was a little frustrated because she couldn't really read all of the cards she got and it was hard for her to draw things and she also didnt really know a whole lot of the ones we drew so she didnt get to guess much.

Fun group game
This game is easy to use and fun to play in a group. The "Adult" clues are surprisingly hard, but I do not own any other Pictionary game so maybe this is normal. Drawing on the tablet is great because you don't make a mess and waste paper, but it is more difficult since you have to look at the TV screen when you're drawing instead of the pen. However, the game is just for fun and it's good to laugh at ourselves and our childish drawings.

Love it!
I love this game! We have played it at a couple of family functions now and everyone that comes over to play it says that they HAVE to buy this game. Super fun for all ages. My kids are 6 and 4 and they both enjoy taking their turn drawing. One thing that is cool is whoever is up to draw, the games asks if you are a junior player or an adult player and it gives you a subject with the degree of difficulty depending on what you choose so the kids dont get subjects that they dont understand. Very cool game. 5 stars for me!!!

so much fun
My family loved this game. It really was fun. You are able to choose with every draw a picture for adult or junior, which I love since both adults and kids were playing at the same time. The difficult ones to draw you can skip and you get another choice, you can keep picking till you get one you like (for smaller children it's a great option). You also have three different lengths to play: a long, medium and short. these are also great since I don't always have the time for a long game. I recommend this game. Really worth the money.
