Fiskars Power-Lever Hedge Shears - 25"-33" Extendable Handle - Plant Cutting Scissors - Yard and Garden Tools - Orange/Black

I have been needing a pair of hedging shears and these do the trick. The blade is sharp. The locking mechanism works well. The reach when the handles are out is noticeable. I do not yet know how thick something can be before they are not able to cut it, but for most hedging purposes this will do the trick.

The telescoping handle and long blades made yard clean up so much easier! Weeds in my backyard took over and grew into 4’ giants over the winter/spring. These made the job so much faster and more doable! I did most of cutting them down myself (in my late 60’s), then brought in help to haul them away and do final clean up! These tackled the job and made it so worth it!

Shears are very high quality. Easy to use and cut through branches. Length is adjustable.

I trimmed the border grass and hedges today, using these shears for the first time. The shears are solid and well-made. The blades are sharp, cut through quite effectively. However, I have a small issue with the weight of the shears. On Amazon website, it states the item weight is 16 ounces which is equivalent to 1 pound. This is inaccurate. I have 3-pound weights at home (for exercise), and the shears feel closer to 3 pounds. I'm a petite older women, so after about 10 minutes of cutting and trimming, my forearms are fatigue, mainly because of the weight of the shears. That being said, I'm going to keep the shears and continue to use . They work well and are of good quality. I got a great price as well.

FISKARS are a very good product. Have had several hand pruning shears in past and none are even close to this product. Had to try them myself using the extender and was amazed at how easily they cut.

Great shears, I’d only recommend to buy WD-40 and oil with them, these rust a little, though rusting doesn’t dull it or interfere with its operation nor effectiveness just visually.

I have some taller shrubs that needed a trim. The telescoping arms were great at reaching higher up to trim back the branches. Fishers always make great products, I learned about their brand from my grandmother who swore by their sewing scissors!
