The raw dead sea salts are wonderful! I am healing from a bad auto accident and am using as a bath soak. I didn't notice any odor at all, but after dissolving salts, I did add some essential oils to enhance healing and for aroma therapy. My skin felt nice and soft and the muscle pain was greatly reduced! I am also using salts to make magnesium oil. (Google recipe-just hot water and magnesium flakes/salts) Whenever I get a bad muscle cramp I spray on and like magic, the cramp is gone in 2 minutes or less!!! For many years, I have gone once a year to a spa in Tuscany which is also part of the Italian national healthcare system as a rheumatoid arthritis clinic. Thankfully I don't have RA, but I was hit by a car when I was in college and have an ongoing problem with spinal inflammation. This past year I couldn't get my usual treatment because of covid, so I hunted around trying to find something that would at least keep me functional until I could return to Europe for my usual treatment.This salt - and yes I've tried many others - does really help. It actually seemed to be the darker / mud components that were the most beneficial, so I found some actual Dead Sea mud and mixed it with the salt. It's not as good as getting the annual treatment, but I take a salt bath everyday and am remaining functional because of it.I've seen some reviews which complain that this salt is dirty. If you have ever been to an authorized treatment spa in Europe or elsewhere you know that the water is "dirty" and the salt caves have striations of many colors. This is because different minerals are different colors; if you bleach them white you are altering them in ways that can affect their therapeutic value. Furthermore, all of these spas offer mud treatments because there are anti-inflammatory agents in the mud that aren't to be found otherwise, at least not in the same quantities.To summarize: if you have real problems, this is the salt you want, period.

Using this product for several years. It is a great addition to a warm hot bath. Relaxing and a great value. Recommend this product without reservation.

I have plaque psoriasis all over my body and i brought this to help alleviate the severity of my flareups. This product was really good, i filled my tub up with water, this product and some essential oils. I soaked for 15 to 20 mins and scrubbed my body with a wash cloth. When i looked at the water i saw such a big amount of impurities and shedded skin from the psoriasis that came off my body. I rinsed my body off with clean water and followed up with an oil mix butter i made, the resukts was amazing. My body was itch free, scale free and moisturized/hydrated for at least 2 to 3 days.Note if using this for psoriasis do not use this everyday but rather every 3 days on the skin as it can leave areas on the body feeling a bit extra rough by the end of the day.

This is a great epsom salt alternative

This is by far the best dead sea salt available. Some of the reviews kept me from ordering, initially. But after using various aromasong salt products. I gave it a go. One of those reviews claims the salt was sand louse infested. That's comical, as this salt is from the dead sea. It's impossible for sand louse or any other bug to live in this salt. This salt has all the mud and minerals of the dead sea, still in it. Placed in water, everything dissolves!! The water is cloudy, as there is dead sea mud in it. I literally bathe in this salt every single day. At 46, my skin is in the best shape it has ever been in. Additionally, it helps my Rheumatoid Arthritis. I keep it on subscription and haven't missed a dead sea salted bath in over a year. Highly recommend this salt. I don't ever want to go without.

This is for my daughter who has eczema. She seems to do well in the tub and it seems to soothe her skin.Do I need to sift the salt? Yes. I figure I can make something out of the bigger pieces.The package arrived in good condition and I will keep the package stored in my pantry where it is cool and dry.So far so good but I'm new to this purchase.I saw that another customer use to get the salt cheaper so I'm also new to price. It is a lot of salt and if there is a huge price increase, I would shop elesewhere if that is possible.

I've purchased hundreds of pounds of dead sea salt over the years and this is hands-down my favorite. If you're into a true therapeutic soak, this salt is for you.Just know this is not pretty, perfectly uniformed crystals, perfumed bath salt, it's the real deal. There's chunks and lumps in it but they will dissolve.I have an air-jet tub which I can put anything in (unlike Jacuzzi pipes that should only be used with water.) So, I'm famous for setting off the fire alarm in my house with the fumes from concoctions of dead sea salt, seaweed, moor mud...you name it.While I'm used to having my bath smell like a swamp, no lie, when I use this salt without all the other stinky seaweed it does not have an unpleasant odor at all. But again, I love the smell of the sea so...take that for what it's worth. If you really don't like the natural scent add essential oils.Also, the concentration is really dense! When I use the same amount of other salts (say, Epsom) the water is not nearly as "salty". I just love this stuff.
