Perfect mac companion!
Investing in this + NVMe SSD is better than buying an external storage device like Samsung T5 etc.. as this works out cheaper and gives the flexibility to use the storage as an internal drive if needed. This actually happened with me. After a few months of this purchase i decided to assemble my desktop PC. At that stage i did not have to worry about getting another hard disk. While this means that the case is not being used, but i can always buy a new NVMe at a low cost and put into this.NVMe are worth the investment over SSDs.

Prices have soared, more than doubled !
Sturdy aluminium case, got it at reasonable price, more than serves the purpose

Package in opened condition and Driver Issues!!
Received the product in an opened manner. Disappointed!! The product works well and good. Thought everywhere I read said it will detect the SSD installed in it but that wasn't the case in mine rather it detected the Sabrent driver and not of the SSD's driver and model. And again another disappointment. 2 STARS OFF!!!More updates on it's speed and quality soon....

Issues with X570 boards and cable doesn't support Type-C USB 3.1 Gen 2
A speedy enclosure - in the right circumstances. I've found issues with X570 motherboards on their Gen 2 USB 3.1 ports that are tied to the CPU - this and other enclosures I've used continually reboot. Use them on chipset tied ports and it works fine. This is either an issue with AMD or the controller used in these PCIe NVMe enclosures. In short, make sure you have USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports with this device on an X570 board, make sure you have chipset tied ports available - sadly not all do.Another issue is the included cable. Using the adaptor to convert the Type-A end to Type-C, this either causes detection of the drive to go haywire or you see USB 3.0 speeds. The Type-A end is fine. So, overall, there are probably issues with the controller used here and new AMD X570 motherboards (or possibly an issue AMD's end) as well as an issue with the cable.

Solid design (Heavy), will have no issue taking knocks and shakes.
Edit; Not all USB port are the same. Some operate at USB 3.0 speed.Test using Alienware 15 R3, 16gb ram, Samsung m.2 970 evo.1. The chassis is very high quality.2. Speed test attached in the picture.3. I have attached multiple tests even with a mSata drive to compare. It is stable and hasn't crashed so far with multiple speed tests and load testing. It gets hot, so be warn. If you have a spare m.2 drive then get it.This is the fastest option you will get for external storage.

You get what you pay for - NVMEs run hot so solid kit needed
Initially, I was going to buy a cheaper enclosure until I read an article describing how NVMe SSDs run very hot due to their high performance. I'm running windows bootcamp off the NVMe connected to USB 3 - wish I had USB C. Anyway, performance only negligibly slower than running off my internal SSD. Enclosure is seriously solid, much thicker than the majority of the other SSD enclosures and it still gets seriously hot! Likely a thinner enclosure would have failed.Only downside once installed and used thermal-paste kinda glues the SSD to the lid so if SSD fails during warranty not sure of procedure to remove but I'll sort if I have to cross that...

Six Stars
The reason I bought this in preference to similar enclosures, apart from the reviews was because of the range and clarity of the product images(nothing to hide) and I could see exactly what I would be getting before buying. In no way disappointed, this is as good, possibly even better than expected. The build quality is exceptional, everything lines up and fits perfectly. I particularly like the fact that this has some weight to it and has non slip strips on the base. When running under stress the enclosure gets reassuringly warm, meaning heat is being transferred off the drive to the air as it should be. You could argue that this is just a chunk of aluminium, but it's an extremely well engineered chunk of aluminium that performs as advertised. Personally, I subscribe to the simple is best school of thought and like the simplicity of this design. I also bought a Sabrent Rocket drive to go with this enclosure and that too exceeded my expectations. Honestly can't fault with this in any way, there is mention in other reviews that the supplied cable could be better, but thankfully mine has been fine.

A really well made M.2 NVMe USB-C 3.1 Enclosure - Looks very Apple!
I selected this enclosure to go with my new 512gb M.2 drive to use with my 13" MacBook Pro Touch Bar. I wanted cheap, fast, bus powered external storage and all my older drives where USB 3.0 but not SSD. I worked out for under £100 I could have this enclosure with a 512GB M.2 from the same manufacturer. I am blown away by the quality and aesthetic of the enclosure - it might as well have an apple logo on it! Its beautifully finished Aluminium and feels satisfying sturdy, but not too heavy its annoying. The included USB cable gives you the chance to use normal USB or USB C as it has an adaptor permanently attached - Ideal if you use the drive between several machine like I do as my 27" iMac doesn't have USB C. A nice touch to make the product handy! The box it came in also had the required small hex screwdriver to open and reseal the enclosure. I happened to have it already, but it was another good touch, especially at the price!Cant recommend highly enough, if you need an M.2 to put in it, have a look at amazon ID B07KGMBCKD - I got the 512gb and seems great - all in a good value solution for a versatile external SSD!
