Around the Home (English / Spanish set) Skill Drill Flash Cards

My ELL kiddos who are at the beginner level LOVE these cards. They are easy to use and a great quick activity any classmate can do with them!

Pictures are outdated but gets the job done.

This product is as it’s described. I would recommend. It has activity card with ideas for learning. I purchased them for my small child and I like them so much I’ll use them too.

Would be curious to know what dialect of spanish these are modeled after, because, as a spanish speaker I don't necessarily agree with some of the words, but the point is there. There are some objects that I feel are common that are missing - and some that I feel are not used often (like measuring cups and measuring spoons?) - Good for a start for someone just learning to try to associate pictures with words, but I feel that it is a bit incomplete - I was expecting more of the common household words/objects.

I use a spanish app Duolingo that I highly recommend. I got these to supplement when I am just sitting around the TV. I have 50 cards memorized and works great with my phone app. Use these to see the english, and then say the spanish word, flip over to verify. Still have problems with el and la but getting there.

I'm slowly trying to learn Spanish because I will be teaching in a school with a high population of Hispanic people and wanted to start somewhere. These flash cards, along with others I bought at the same time, are perfect for learning basic things that will also interest my preschool students. Great quality cardstock. I put mine onto split rings for on-the-go learning. Definitely recommend.

I am a volunteer English instructor for documented immigrants that wish to obtain US Citizenship. This deck of flashcards was used effectively to bridge the Spanish language to that of English. My student liked the cards.
