Tecmate CarbMate Twin Engine Carburetor Balancer

I bought a BMW R1100RT some time ago, ironed out the fuelling quirks and built the engine to Boxer Cup spec. Finishing touch was a really thorough throttle body balance.The Carbmate is a brilliant bit of kit. Not only got my bike running like an absolute peach but also alerted me to the fact I had a frayed crossover throttle cable that was sticky on overrun, thus averting a possibly dangerous riding condition.Super easy to use and intuitive. Love it and glad I made the investment.

I've used three different vacuum guages before this, for tuning my R100GS. This is the easiest and most accurate. No guessing required. Light are clear and simple. Tune at lower resolution, then fine tine at higher. Perfect.

Easy to use and worked really well

Old Airhead BMW bikes are extremely sensitive to carb balance. I could never dial mine in perfectly using a carbtune pro. The Carbmate got me spot-on first try. The bike runs smoother than ever.

Although not the cheapest available, if you have a BMW Twin Boxer or a similiar type of machine with twin carbs then this is an essential for the Workshop. It is well made, sturdy and precise ,above all it is straightforward to use. Your Bike will feel so much more responsive with a steady tickover. I have no regrets with this purchase it gives me the confidence to say it will last you a lifetime if looked after.
