This stuff truly surprised me. I wasn't sure what to expect from a bottle of straight fish oil (no pills) and I'd had nothing but nasty fish burps from every fish oil product I'd tried before. Could this one possibly be different? And wouldn't it be a big pain to pour out a teaspoon of the stuff each day? Would I have to find something to mix it with? But it seemed like something different, so I gave it a chance. And it's... different.Different, as in pours perfectly clean, with one of those double-rim spouts like the better olive oils use.Different, as in somehow has no taste at all; it almost makes me doubt that there's really fish oil in it. I can drink it right off of a spoon, with a slight citrus aftertaste, and then... nothing. No burp, no lingering aftertaste. Nothing. (That's four days in a row so far -- if it starts to go stale & fishy by the time I reach the bottom, I'll update this review.)I didn't know something like this was possible, and I wish I'd found it years ago. It makes it absolutely painless to get a steady dose of Omega-3 (including substantial DHA).

I have only recently decided to make the jump to improve my health with supplements, and the thought of drinking "fish oil" was simply disgusting. I found this product from another individual who claimed it was not only "not bad" but it was "good.". Right. Fish oil. Good. Guess what? It IS. I take a teaspoon each morning as soon as I get up, and another teaspoon prior to my evening dinner. It has a light, lemony flavor that is fine, just fine. No problems with this whatsoever, and it is a huge bottle and will last a long time. Keep it in the fridge.

My kids hated the taste.

The taste of this isn't pleasant but isn't disgusting either. It's like taking a teaspoon of oil with a backseat lemon touch to it. I really like that the epa is higher than the dha and that's it's sourced from smaller fish to lower risk of toxins in it. You do need to refrigerate after opening. I'll likely buy again if it seems to be doing me well.

There's no getting around it. You're gonna pay up for a quality liquid fish oil. But this large size of Nutra Sea fish oil is a huge bargain compared to buying the more typical smaller bottles. And it's got a pleasant lemon flavor that makes it easy to take, and no fish burps ever. Great product and definitely a great bargain as good fish oils go.

Ascenta/Nutrasea is my favorite brand of fish oil. The taste is mild and neutral and it is much easier to take than swallowing a bunch of pills. I also think it is a more pure product in this form as it is less likely to go rancid. This is one of the only sellers I've been able to find this "discount" size in. I wish they were more available in the US(I believe the company is based in Canada). The discount isn't huge, but it is still worth it. Delivery was prompt.

I'm still not sure that fish oil makes much of a difference. I'm guessing , with all the written opinions that is does and ,at worse, it can't hurt. I couldn't swallow the big fish oil pills and I found this product about 5 years ago. I'm still here and buying more. Of all the brands I've tried this one is the most palatable.

this brand of fish oil was recommended by the doctor who wrote the wheatbelly book, dr. william davis. it tastes really good. no fishy taste, no after taste. I highly recommend this. it might seem expensive, but the 500 ML size has 100 servings (1 tsp. each). that is just pennies a day.
