Does label tape come with this model?

It's supposed to come with a "sample" tape cassette but mine was missing. Good thing I had ordered a full cassette with the label maker!

What type of batteries (and how many) does it use?

6 AAA batteries...not included. I believe there is a charger you can buy. I've had mine for months and batteries are going strong

Is the tape laminated? Some of these have non-laminated which doesn't seem like it would be very long lasting.

It is very sturdy tape. I wouldn't say its laminated but it is very long lasting and doesn't rip. So I wouldn't say it is like regular tape and I wouldn't say its fully laminated.
