Livin' Loud
I bought two of these for my '93 Isuzu Rodeo. I had been running a single 4" speaker in the stock box, and that speaker was blown. I decided that the next thing i was going to fix was going to be the speakers. I bought a Boss Chaos 1400 W sub, and that hit descently, but wasn't quite enough. I designed and made a box for two subs, each with its own port, along with two 6x9 s. I ordered a kicker to fill the other hole, and was blown away. I sold the Boss before I got the other Kicker, and there is almost no difference in the sound. Even though the kicker's max wattage rating is 1100 less than the boss, it hits harder and louder. I'm stoked to finally be able to compete with my friends in the car stereo war that's going on at my high school. The only downside has nothing to do with the speakers. It's rather to do with the car. It sounds great on the inside, but on the outside, my car sounds like it's going to fall apart. The subs are literally vibrating my car so much that my bolts are coning loose on the roof.I have actually noticed that my vision was blurry due to the vibrations one day when I pulled up to a stop sign and the music was cranked. I couldn't read the liscense plate clearly on a car that was 10 feet in front of mine.Great subs, I definately recommend them to anyone that wants a lot of bass for for a reasonable price

No Brainer For Bass Lovers
I have always been a fan of Kicker subwoofers. I remember years ago my friend had a pair of 12" Kickers that made the building I used to work at shake like an earthquake every time he pulled up. This is the first Kicker I have ever owned, and I was not dissapointed with this single 12" Kicker running on a Lanzar OptiDrive 150 (300W Bridged). I dropped the sub in a slot ported box at 1.25 cubic feet. This subwoofer delivers the big bass and does so quite effortlessly. I agree with another reviewer here on that this subwoofer performs optimally on lower wattages. I have my Lanzar OptiDrive 150 amp turned way down and the bass notes come out clean and massive. I love the easy quick connects and installing it was a real breeze. I have had sound systems with a pair of twelves that sounded weaker than this single 12" Kicker subwoofer. I would definetly buy this again especially at the low price here, as opposed to paying just about a hundred bucks at the big retail stores. I am completely satisfied with this subwoofer and would purchase it again in a heartbeat.

Just what I was looking for :)
Not competition speakers by any means, but they are exactly what I was looking for; loud, booming, and will make people wish you would TURN THAT DOWN because in my 2002 Chrysler Sebring Convertible with the top down, this thing hits hard in a ported box! I've paired it with a 600W Planet Audio amp and it has put a smile on my face. My previous set was 2-10" 1000W subs in a sealed box but I used to hit hard with those in my 1993 Ford Escort hatchback. Not with this very solid convertible, I needed something bigger, and this fit the bill very nicely. I've got 2 of these in a ported box and with my radio (Power Acoustic flip screen) I'm able to turn off one sub and even still, with just 1 sub hitting in order to get it down to a reasonable subtle (traditional stock) bass hit I had to turn that 1 sub down to like -6 to please my girlfriend. These speakers will disappoint if you just want a car with a gangster sound. My trunk certainly rattles. Don't expect to win any competitions with this, but trust me, these subs will make your chest vibrate from several feet away from the vehicle. I recommend the kicker grill guards too like you see in my photo, makes it look mean.

Cheap sub that is ok.
Needed a sub to put in my winter beater, 1987 Caprice. Since the trunk gets a little damp/wet I wanted to go cheaper on the sub. And since it's $20+ cheaper here than walmart I ordered it. Powered by an Alpine MRP-M500. In a smaller 1.25 cube sealed box it was lacking. In a 2.5 cube ported box tuned to 34 it was better. For $65 and not a paper cone(wet trunk) this was what I was looking for.I have ran much better subs in my other car (15" Fi SP4, two 12" Sundown sa12, two 12" SSA Xcon, Two 12" Fi BTL N2...) on much more power (Sundown SAZ-3000D). This Kicker does not come close to those subs. But for a budget sub on a small amp. its ok.

very nice and clean hits hard as hell too with a good box
I ordered this for my dads accord as a temp until i can transfer it to my el camino. So far it is very nice and hits hard. I connected it to a baja 400 watts amp, it sounds very clean and nice. The enclosure that I built myself for it was .4 cubic feet of internal volume under the specifications of the manual. It sounded horrible with that enclosure. So I bought another enclosure and it sounds so freaking awesome! I put it in the trunk, and it rattles the shit outta the trunk! I suggest you get a box that has an internal volume of 1.50 or over (cubed feet). You will not reget it. It's also been 2 months since I've had it and had no problems at all, no distortion or nothing.
