Q: Does the kart slow when you don't actively pedal? - bit confused about how the pedal brake effects the fun factor of cruising down a hill fast..

No, the coaster brake is initiated by actively back-pedalling ... if only a little. So it can free-wheel on the flat or downhill ... but will not 'run away' because the option to activate the brake by back-pedalling is always there. I wouldn't recommend it for running down very steep slopes, though. I don't think the brake is strong enough for that. It's a great cart. 'hope that helps.

Q: Hi there, would this be ok for a 7 year old too who is 1.2m?

Hi Tracey, If the seat is in the second position and the steering wheel all the way out, I can not see why your 7yr old could not get some fun out of the cart. My Grandson loves it, he calls it his monster truck.

I would say 126-130cm max. Taller than that and their legs have nowhere to go
