These Dusk to dawn sensors performed better than I expected. For my particular use, I was using these to trigger a gate operator for the park service (with an additional high voltage relay) to open a gate at dawn and close it at dusk. The sort of probe style allowed easy directional adjustment and the built-in relay made for easy testing by simply covering the photocell (which energized and triggered the other relay I used as a normally closed switch). All in all, its design, waterproofing and functionality worked great for my purposes. 5 stars

Item arrived ahead of schedule, well packaged. I haven't hooked them up yet but they feel of decent quality

Directions were not the greatest- when I followed them , I had the opposite result of what I needed. I reversed the wires and it worked like a charm. I don’t remember if I got this idea from YouTube or most likely from another reviewer here.

Instalé un interruptor fotoeléctrico como remplazo de un balastro con sensor solar de una lámpara para exterior, funciona muy bien sin intermitencia en el encendido y apagado (el segundo interruptor fotoeléctrico lo tengo de refacción). Incluye un empaque para evitar filtración de agua, solo tuve que ampliar la perforación a 3/4" aprox. para el montaje. Seleccioné este producto por la certificación UL. Aunque ahora el interruptor fotoeléctrico sobresale de la lámpara, estéticamente se ve muy bien.
