Worth it
Not too shabby. I work as an aircraft mechanic and I was tired of having my sockets slip off of the $1 harbor freight rails in my bag, so I did some research to find something that would hold sockets through extreme abuse. These socket holders definitely accomplish that. There are some caveats though that you should consider. The first is a minor one, which is that the twist lock mechanism is a bit hard to use when your hands are greasy, or when you have gloves on that don’t grip too well. It’s happened a few times where I go to twist and pull a socket, and just slip on it hopelessly. I’ll have to grab a rag and wipe my hands thoroughly or take my gloves off to grab the socket and resume working. Whereas before with the cheap rails, I’d just pull the socket to one side. I guess this is probably an issue with any sort of rail that is serious about holding sockets in place. The second, and this is a little more serious, is that while the rail itself is very sturdy and doesn’t feel like it’s gonna break or fall apart any time soon, the twist lock posts themselves that the sockets go onto are not as invulnerable. While working on the wing of a plane, I accidentally knocked this rail off of my scissor lift and it fell maybe 15 feet onto concrete below. I was pleasantly surprised that all sockets besides one had stayed on the rail and survived the impact. The one socket that didn’t survive did not just come off of the post, though. The post broke, leaving the base on the rail and the ball-detent part still in the socket. No big deal, I just punched the post out of the socket, took the broken base off of the rail, and put the socket back on one of the extra posts that came with the rail. I only use the rail to store ten sockets, and if I recall correctly the rail came with thirteen posts. So just keep that in mind, I guess, that this is a good rail but it’s not like it’s indestructible. I don’t think it’s anyone’s fault besides reality that it can’t survive a 15 foot fall onto concrete.

Will buy again
Best socket holders I have seen. I bought one of these off of a MAC truck years ago and it has held up amazingly over the years. Then I found these and they are identical to the MAC one at about half the price. I had one of the socket holders mess up only because a co-worker wasn’t smart enough to turn the socket to release it and just yanked it off the holder. If I buy any more I will buy the two pack because they aren’t much more than just buying one.

Awesome Socket Rails
Awesome socket rails. The magnetic base holds the socket rails in place, even as I push my tool box over bumpy concrete or floor drains. The twist lock feature and the socket posts seem quite sturdy, not cheap plastic. All in all, a good value for the money.

VERY Good Product
I am VERY impressed with this product. I just purchased so I can’t speak to long term quality, but it is very well built and works great! I am very glad I tried this product. I now plan to buy more. One final note, while taking pictures for this review the strip fell about four feet and hit the garage floor. When I inspected it was damage free. So drops well :)

Good holders with a couple of personal notes
Overall I like these rails. They sit taller in a drawer than other rails, just something to consider. I thought I had more clearance than I actually do so with the sockets on this rail it they no longer fit in the drawer. My fault. Other things to keep in mind are that the sockets can still slide within the rail when they are locked on, so socket stays on the rail but can still slide within the rail. The other thing is there is a minimum fixed distance between each of the holders so if you are putting smaller sockets on it you wind up with a lot of space between each socket. This is personal preference kind of stuff. Overall I would by them again with more consideration of the space I’m working with.

Worth the money
They’re worth the money your sockets will not fall off and they’re better than the more expensive ones

Nothing compares to Lock a socket
I just got 3 of the LAS50 lock a socket single row 1/2 drive 22" long socket holders. I already have one of the 18" inch and a14" prior to getting these. They have a full length magnet on the bottom. I also have 3 of the 5 row try's and one of the 3 row trays. These lock a socket product are best in my mind. Get yourself some of the Mechanic's time saver products!

Magnets are not as strong as advertised.
Welp. As a rail its okay. The images in the ad would have you believe that you can hang the rail on the side of your box with it loaded with sockets. You can't. With 14 deep half inch drive sockets on the rail the magnets are not strong enough to hold it to anything. Just keeps falling over. Lesson learned. Buy VIM Magrails.

Amazon stands behind the products they sell
I can’t really review this item as it is a gift, but it is what he wanted and I’m sure it will be fine. It looks like what I ordered, therefore I’m satisfied.
