Why you should buy the Kodak Playfull over the Sony Flip
I'll start by saying I am not a techie person. I am a mom of 3, and my husband and I needed something that is easy to use, with decent quality. We're not looking for award winning photographic quality. We have 3 kids to chase after, and this is so small and lightweight, it fits very comfortably right in your pocket. I love that you can take stills and videos, and that you can create stills FROM video that you shot. I do have a regular digital camera for most of my still picture taking, and to be honest, the quality on my Sony Cyber Shot is better for stills, but this Kodak Playfull's quality is much better than the camera on my cell phone, and runs a close second with my Sony Cyber Shot. The biggest pro being that you have 2 devices in 1. The reason why I chose this over the Sony Flip is because (at the time, and I am not sure if there is a newer model Flip now)the Sony Flip only had the built in memory of 8GB, no cards. The Kodak Playfull can use up to a 32GB memory card. The Sony Flip only had the (flip out) USB to transfer the pictures/videos off of the device. If that were to break off, you would be out of luck, there is no other way to get the photos/videos off the device. With the Kodak Playfull, you can use the built in USB, or you can remove the card to transfer. Those two features are really what sold me on the Kodak over the Sony. It's simple to use, easy to transfer photos and videos off of, priced INCREDIBLY right, and has so far, with 3 children, been very durable. I highly recommend! On a side note... I bought this same exact Kodak Playfull from Best Buy, and paid $23 more (regularly $129 at Best Buy, but it was on sale that week for $99) - so, it's more than a $50 savings here on Amazon than the regular price at Besy Buy. I just purchased this today on Amazon as a gift for a friend that is traveling overseas for a Basketball Torunament, so she could take still pictures and videos, with just one device.

Kodak PlayFull HD Video Camera
NOT A GOOD VIDEO CAMERA!!! If you want a camera that takes VIDEOS, stay away from this little gadget. Terrible image-quality, no matter at what setting. The worst about it is the motion capture, something a video camera is supposed to do well - terrible movies, motion trails and skidding, no matter what lighting. It is impossible to make a movie that looks like a movie. It's very easy to use and has a built in USB plug, which makes transfers easy. That almost made me give it 2 Stars but the movie quality it puts out is simply too bad. For those who don't care about an at least acceptable movie quality this might work, but it is simply below acceptable in any aspect. Bottom line, you get what you pay for - good video cameras still have their price, better to safe the dollars and get an entry level camera! The camera was returned for full refund, 5 stars for the store to take it back and refund the money without any hassle.

Easy to use, long video and battery use, but needs to be reset somewhat regularly
This camera, as long as it works, is great for what it is. You can't turn off the stabilization, which is so ugly to watch in motion that it should have never been a feature, but for $60, this camera is a pretty good deal. It's the size of a small chocolate bar, it takes one button to turn on and another to record, and it's hard to mess up. The only problem is it's buggy and every week or two seems to need resetting, which you can do with a safety pin by pressing it in the tiny reset button. That fixes it, but it's annoying. The image is acceptable for the size and price. The audio seems to slip a little from the video after recording for a few minutes, which is annoying. But, again, this is about the cheapest HD camera you can get. Look up footage on YouTube to see for yourself.

Kodak Playful HD Video Camera Black
I am pleased with this item, it is easy to record videos and also allows you to take digital pictures 5 meg Here is my take down of this camera; The pros are - * easy to take videos/pictures * small and easy to carry around * very affordable for HD camera * has the ability to be mounted on a tri-pod * easy to upload videos/pictures on computer * has auto-focus The cons are - - videos can be fuzzy in low light areas - there is no time-stamp capabilities - there is no flash - does not come with remote, but you can purchase one separately Overall I think my experience with this camera is positive. It is very easy to use and I like to mount this camera on a tri-pod for easy recording. Later I will probably invest in a remote control. I also like the option to upgrade the flash memory to 64 GB if needed. This camera is small, easy and convenient to use. I am actually impressed in how easy this camera is to use, if you are looking for a easy camera to take good quality videos without the hassle of buying an expensive camcorder then this is a good option to consider. The only downside is that the videos can be a little fuzzy in low light, sometimes the sound quality can be low when you are a little farther away. If you want a time-stamp there is no options to add it for some reason. Otherwise this is a good camera to use, especially if you are looking to upload videos on the internet then I think this camera will do the job.
