Most of the time these type of products don't work the way you would expect them to. I was very surprised that within three days the dark spots from sun damaged skin started to fade. These spots had gotten even darker over the years and I was very conscious of them. I also use it on misc. dark spots as well. I'm a male that surfed for years and didn't really take care of my skin but the Nutrogena retinal with vitamin C has really made a difference. I'm careful to put sunscreen on when out in the sun as recommended. Give it a try.

This Neutrogena dark spot remover is the third different one that I’ve tried. The other two worked, but very slowly. The difference is that this Neutrogena cream really works. And, it works fast. And, it will be the only one I use from now on. This cream is great. I highly recommend. Donna

If this doesn't work for you, I recommend that you see a dermatologist. Seriously, you may have skin cancer or precursor.I've come back to this after getting disgusted with its tube design. I've used multiple tunes, liked results, but the pump quits working b4 all the product is gone - sometimes w/ as much as half remaining. I have to cut the tube open, and then the product starts drying out.There's *got* to be a better dispensing method! At least allow the pump to be unscrewed from the tube, Neutrogena!So, buying again bc it does a great job w/o overdrying the area where applied. The scent is a bit strong if you're sensitive, but pleasant.

Very sad that the product actually is nice and works but they changed the packaging so now you get about a teaspoon of liquid in the tiny tube. Very disappointing

Very impressed with this product! Wish I would’ve taken a before & after picture. My spot is on my face. Raised and very dark. Much like how a scab looks and feels. Size of my finger tip. It’s smaller than my pinky nail now!!!! Much lighter. Been using for a month so far.

Works great and does lighten dark spots with use

It has not gotten rid of the dark spots, but they haven't gotten any darker! Maybe a little lighter? Does anything truly work completely?
