Works perfect and is really bright.

I recently installed this Lit Path LED motion sensor light in a closet. The brightness and color are great. The motion sensing behavior is perfect. As promised it really does turn off after 30 seconds. I am an experienced DIYer. The fixture mounts fairly easily to a box with 8-32 screws (supplied) if your box is installed perfectly. I had two challenges. First, the screws needed to be longer as my box was a bit up into the ceiling. So I got longer screws at the hardware store. Second, the pre-moulded keyholes in the fixture are too small for the head of the screw, so I drilled them out larger. But overall, a nice product. It may be a challenge for folks that don't feel comfortable getting their own screws (if needed) or who don't want to make the small modification to the product to install it. So my message to the manufacturer is: supply the device with longer screws and put the proper sized keyholes in the device and you will get a 5 star from me.

This is not too hard to install, just have to watch the wires so they don't get caught poking out when you tighten. The motion sensor works good, but our range is less than advertised as it is in a closet with a low ceiling. The closet is only a little over 6.5 feet in height, and the light is just inside the door up against the back of the door. You must actually enter the closet for it to register, but that is a problem unique to our situation, and is not the fault of the light fixture. The light is bright, and white, and lights up the whole closet. My only complaint is you can't choose where to locate the motion sensor. The location is determined by the mounting screws on the electrical box. It would be nice if they could make the light with a rotating bezel you can turn once installed to place the sensor at the optimal location. As it is, you're stuck with a specific location, or two, if you rotate the fixture 180 degrees. Those are your only options. Otherwise, very pleased with the light so far.

I had a pull chain light in closet ( older house) this makes it great in dark just open door and light comes on!!! I love it

UPDATE: The seller of these lamps offers this in the description: The LED ceiling light is rated for... life span 50,000 hours which means it can be used 17 years based on 8 hours/day. But the warranty they provide is for one year. I ordered four of these and two of them burnt out before they were two years old. But after their warranty date, of course. These would be great if they lasted even half the promised time, but they don't, so go with Cloudy Bay which offers a 5 year warranty. After reading reviews, I ordered this for a small walk-in closet. As others have mentioned, the screw holes do not line up with a standard electric box - not even close. Luckily, I have a cedar-lined closet, including the ceiling, so I put one screw into the box and another into the ceiling. It took 15 minutes to install and it works perfectly. A little too perfectly as it was turning on every time I passed the doorway. Fixed this with a small piece of electrician's tape over the outer half of the sensor. Now it is perfect - and bright! I smile every time I reach into the closet to fumble around for something...and then the light fades up and illuminates my way. :)

Used product to illuminate a hallway linen closet. Since it is hardwired, I never have to worry about changing batteries. Installation was easy since I had access to installation site from my attic and an unswitched electrical wire was near the site. Unless you are a fairly high level do-it your- selfer with experience adding electrical lights and outlets, you may not be able to safely install yourself. You need to install a ceiling box for this light. Light comes on when door is opened and goes off in 30 seconds. I would prefer that it stayed on a little longer or that it did not shut off while there was still motion below it. After 30 seconds it goes off and takes a few seconds before it goes back on. Light is plenty bright.
