Yes, Bob, what a difference it would have made if we had been taught how to memorize before we enrolled in school. It took me a long time to commit the EA lectures to memory using rote. Now, thanks to the excellent guidance in this book, I am excited to memorize the MM lectures using memory palaces. I am also looking forward to helping my lodge brothers learn these ancient memory techniques so they may realize the rewards from a well-executed presentation . It’s fun giving this old brain a good workout with new challenges…my enthusiasm has been rejuvenated.

The most thought provoking words of this pragmatic study are in the final few chapters. Lingerfelt explains a very simple and helpful method for memorizing ritual word for word. The practice of which can improve your memory and change your brain's mental processing, making learning easier in all areas. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to memorize large portions of material or simply to improve in study.

I like what I read, it made sense in the long run, but the explanations in some cases caused confusion, too lengthy or too much detail that felt like you were going sideways.

The field of memory palace study is one that is largely unknown to most people, outside of a small group who use it for various tricks. Within that small group, even fewer have attempted to apply the process to verbatim memorization, particularly as used in Freemasonry. If you are looking for a book to help you learn to memorize your ritual work, or just looking for a new method of memorization, this book is a must-have on your digital bookshelf.

I feel the book is a good introduction to memory palaces but might not be for all as it’s biased towards free masonry. But, overall it’s an ok book.

Engagingly written, practical, with wisdom and depth not normally offered in memory guides. I plan to make good use of it.

This book was easy to read and the points listed are easy to follow. This book is perfect for anyone wanting to increase their memory power, whether in Lodge or elsewhere. I will likely read it again!

increase your mind by knowing how to use it

I enjoyed this book from start to finish but I really feel that it needs an editor to take another look at it. I found a lot of errors in the editing of the book that can make it difficult to understand if you do not read the entire sentence then go back and remove the extra words. But this was a good book.
